Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, February 25, 2009, at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer. Dr. James Hicks will officiate. Burial will follow at Hudson Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday and 1-2 p.m. Wednesday.

In 1884 he moved on a ranch in the western part of Gove county about fifteen miles from Oakley, where he remained until the year 1898, when he moved to Oakley and engaged in the butcher business.? ? In 1899 he took charge of the Tennessee hotel and made it the first $2.00 a day house in the city.? ? He remained in the hotel business until 1901 when he sold out and again retired for a short time to the farm.? ? During his residence in Gove county he served two terms as County Commissioner and has always been spoken of as the best Commissioner Gove county ever had.? ? At the November election this fall he was chosen Commissioner of the first district in this county and will enter up on his duties in that capacity the first of the year.?His experience, honesty and capability insures the tax-payers of Logan county an economical and business like administration.

Wolfe lived on 15 June 1900 at Independence, Preston Co., WV, attending school.1 She married Albert B. McDaniel in 1906 at Preston Co., WV. Lillian D. Wolfe lived on 15 April 1910 at Grant Civil District, Monongalia Co., WV.2 She lived in January 1920 at 613 Bridy Road, Morgantown, Monongalia Co., WV.3 She died on 5 February 1964 at Belpre, Washington Co., OH, at age 81. She was buried in February 1964 at Rockland Cemetery, Belpre, Washington Co., OH, Findagrave #153699757.

Possibly this is the Oran Harvey married (briefly) to Lillian Wolfe. Lillian was using her maiden name when she married Albert McDaniel in 1906. DLB 2020.

LINDA L. (WOLFE) SNELL
of Pomona, California died Thursday, July 28, 2011, in her home.
She was born in Royal Oak Michigan, February 25th 1937, to Darrell and Mable Wolfe. At the age of nine, Linda and her family left Michigan to reside in Southern California. She was a 1955 graduate of Monrovia High School. After graduation she returned to Royal Oak Michigan where she was employed by Allegheny Steel.
Linda married Robert L. Snell, who survives her with their two children and nine grandchildren, Susan Lynn Roberts (Lou), Milo and Molina of Toledo, Ohio and David Robert Snell (Nona) Alana, Andrew, Crystal, Sean, Maria, Lia and Jay of Perrysburg, Ohio. Linda was survived by her beloved sister, Nancy Fischer (Dick) and their four children, Janet, Greg, Scott and Allen of Claremont, California; and her brother, Doug Wolfe (Barbara) and their seven children, Gina, Chris, Kevin, Hali, Stacy, Jessica and Alisa of Shertz, Texas.
Linda loved her family and friends. She had a soft spot for stray animals and was an avid reader. She had a very special talent for knitting and crocheting with much of her work going to family, friends and charity.
Graveside service will be held on Friday, Aug. 5, 2011, 11 A.M. at Rose Hills Memorial Park.
