Cassie Boothe Davis, 89, of Rocky Mount, our loving wife and mother, went to be with the Lord her birthday, Friday, November 28, 2008. She was born November 28, 1919 in Endicott, a daughter of the late Lewis Wardie and Susie Holley Boothe. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Alice, Bessie, Clemmie, Viola, Haggie, Ollie, Roxie, Victoria and brothers, Daniel, Grant, John and Herbert. She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, John S. Davis; sons and daughters-in-law, Jim Allen Chaney, Sr. and wife, Lucille, Wayne Paige Henderson and wife, Beth; daughter, Sharon H. Peters; five grandchildren, Jim Allen Chaney, Jr. and wife, Margaret, Deborah Lynn Chaney, Mark Wayne Henderson and wife, Leigh, Kevin Paige Henderson and wife, Kim, and Kristy Harris; four great-grandchildren, Jamie Ann Chaney, Robert Bernard, Madeline Henderson, Eli Henderson; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Lewis Josh Boothe; her pets, Omar, Jazzy Girl and Romey. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Monday December 1, 2008, with the Rev. Winston Crichlow and the Rev. Bud Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. The family request that memorial donations be made to Bethany United Methodist Church Building Fund, 3329 Henry Road, Ferrum, Va. 24088. DOOLEY, Theureda M., age 86 of Miamisburg, died Thursday, September 29, 1988 at Sycamore Medical Center. A native of Williamsport, OH., Mrs. Dooley was a retired Educator having taught many years in the W. Carrollton School System, was a Charter Member of St. Henry Church, a member of the W. Carrollton Senior Citizens and a former Volunteer Tutor at Bishop Leibold School. Mrs. Dooley will be missed by all her friends and former students. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark in 1962. Survivors include her daughter & son-in-law, Mary Ann and Bill Becker of Miamisburg; 4 grandchildren, Ronald Becker of Lincoln, NE., Connie Dalhamer of Beavercreek, Rick Becker of Waynesville, Melinda Luzius of Dallas, TX; 7 great grandchildren & several nieces. Prayers 10 A.M. Tuesday from the Swart Funeral Home, W. Carrollton with Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 A.M. at St. Henry Church. Burial Calvary Cemetery.      Voy Joe Boots was born on 6 February 1895 at Deer Creek Twp., Pickaway Co., OH.¹ He was the son of Stephen Boots and Anna Buskirk.¹ Voy Joe Boots married Leota Ellen Schadle on 18 September 1916 at Ross Co., OH, This marriage lasted a few years -- they were together as of the 1920 census, but obviously divorced by the time Voy remarried in 1925. Leota was living with her parents in 1930, marital status "D". No evidence of any children. Voy Joe Boots and Leota Ellen Schadle were divorced before August 1925. Voy Joe Boots married Minnie E. Alkire, daughter of Abraham Lincoln Alkire and Mary Jane Hughes, on 31 August 1925 at Franklin Co., OH, This marriage appears to have broken up by 1940. In the 1940 census, Minnie Boots is listed as married, a domestic servant, but Voy was not listed with her. On his WW II draft registration, Voy gave his sister Theureda Dooley as his emergency contact. No evidence of any children.

Voy Joe Boots lived on 2 April 1930 at 136 Champion Avenue, Columbus, Franklin Co., OH, Insurance salesman.² He married Frances M. Alkire, Frances was first married to Harold T. Geibelhouse, a WW I veteran, on 18 AUG 1923, Franklin County, Ohio. Harold died in 1928, with no children. Voy Joe Boots died on 6 February 1963 at Doctors Hospital North, Columbus, Franklin Co., OH, at age 68. He was buried in February 1963 at Galloway Cemetery, Galloway, Franklin Co., OH, Findagrave #30808195.

     Wilbur Eugene Boots was born on 2 December 1914 at Morley, Jones Co., IA. He was the son of Clarence Boots and Rose Ellen Haynor. Wilbur Eugene Boots married Vada Lucille Coleman, daughter of Frank Coleman and Nora Holz, on 15 September 1934. Wilbur Eugene Boots died in November 1979 at Rock Island Co., IL, at age 64.
