Professional Baseball Player. He compiled a 35-43 won-loss record spanning five seasons of major league baseball. Brabender was originally signed as a free agent by the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1961. He played with the Baltimore Orioles, Seattle Pilots and Milwaukee Brewers. He was featured prominently in Jim Bouton's book "Ball Four," a chronicle of the 1969 Seattle Pilots baseball season. He died from a heart attack at the age of 55.

Thomas Brabson father of Alexander married to Jane Miller February 15, 1795 in Berkeley, Virginia (later WV) ; John Boyd Minister matrimony rites. Sometime around 1800 they made their way to Tennessee where Thomas bought land in Greene Co and Washington Co., Tennessee. Thomas sold land to the DeVaults who later built the DeVault on this same land.

John Brabson and Mary Reese were the parents of Thomas and John Bowen Brabson. Thomas settled in Washington Co and John Bowen made his way to made his way to Sevier Co., Tennessee.
