Arvil Branson Died Friday At Rolla

Arvil Branson of Cuba, Mo. died April 10 at Phelps County Hospital at the age of 80 years.

Surviving are fours sons, Melvin Branson of St. James, Alvin Branson of Des Moines, Iowa, Glenn Branson of Farmington and Elmo Branson of Florissant; three daughters, Mrs. Olga Frederickson of Decatur, Ill., Mrs. Evelyn Pinnell of St. Ann and Mrs. Ina Murdick of Flat River; two brothers, William B. Branson of Boody, Ill. and Wayne Branson of Cuba; 19 grandchildren; two great grandchildren.

He was a member of the Cuba Lodge 312 AF and AM and had received his 50 year pin.

Funeral service was at 2 p.m. today at the Cuba First Baptist Church with the Rev. W.J. Young and the Rev. Donald G. Reed officiating. Interment was in the Licklider Cemetery near Cuba under the direction of Hoener Service, Cuba.

He was buried in April 1970 at Licklider Cemetery, Jake Prairie, Crawford Co., MO, Findagrave #52757988.

Norman Branson, 73 year old Woodward resident died Friday September 30, 2005 in the Grace Living Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday October 4, 2005 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with pastor Ben Gleaves officiating. Interment will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Norman Levi Branson was born on July 10, 1932 in Olive, Missouri the son of Jesse Thomas and Belva Retha (Haggard) Branson. Norman was reared in Branson, Missouri and attended school in Mountain Grove. While Norman was very young he went to work to help his family which at one time included ten children. Norman married Nancy Louise Monk on November 20, 1956 in Durant, they made their home in Valliant. In 1961 Norman moved to Woodward where he began working at various jobs including Lee Wilson, Harper Sanitation, Razeins and LeRoy's Ready Mix. Norman also worked several years for the Woodward News delivering newspapers. A year after moving to town his family joined him. Norman retired on November 26, 2003.

He is survived by his son Jesse Branson of the home, one daughter; Mary Collette and husband Sandy of Peggs, one granddaughter; Charlena Rodriques of Peggs, one great granddaughter Cherokee Collette of Peggs, one brother Albert Branson and wife Shirley of Fordland, MO and several nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Nancy on June 3, 1986, and eight brothers and sisters.

He was buried in October 2005 at Elmwood Cemetery, Woodward, Woodward Co., OK, Find A Grave Memorial# 117912276.

Olga Arlene Branson

Olga Arlene Branson married Andrew Charles Frederickson, son of George Albert Frederickson and Lora Ellen Ferris, in 1934, Andrew later remarried to Betty Jean Ritchey in 1973. Olga Arlene Branson and Andrew Charles Frederickson were divorced. Olga Arlene Branson died on 18 May 2001 at age 89

Mrs. Frederickson was born in Jakes Prairie, Mo. She lived in Decatur, Ill., prior to moving to Ridgecrest in 1971. "She was an active member of Immanuel Baptist Church and a member of the Sonshine Singers. She was preceded in death by two brothers; Melvin Branson and Alvin Branson; and four sisters, Zelma Woodruff, Evelyn Pinnell, Ina Murdick and Mamie Lee Branson." Mrs. Frederickson is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Charles L. and June Frederickson of Ridgecrest; son and daughter-in-law, David L. and Mary Carole Frederickson of Sunnyvale; brother, Elmo Branson of Arnold, Mo; brother, Glen Branson of Farmington, Mo; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was buried in May 2001 at Desert Memorial Park, Ridgecrest, Kern Co., CA, Findagrave #11779601.
