PEKIN - Wilma Ada Hawkins, 93, of Hallmark House Nursing Center died there at 3:15 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2000.

Born June 1, 1907, in Mackinaw to Buford and Ethel May Stewart Bright, she married Robert L. Hawkins on Aug. 30, 1925, in Pekin. He died Feb. 19, 1983, in Peoria.

She also was preceded in death by two sons, William and Robert Jr., two grandsons, three brothers and two sisters.

Surviving are two daughters, Wilma (and Roy) Morsch Hostetler of Pekin and Donna (and Dean) Colson of Manito; one sister, Anna May Cookson of Ridge Lake; one brother, Harold (and Marge) Bright of Pekin; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

She worked for American Distilling Co. in Pekin for 25 years, retiring in 1969. She previously had worked for Corn Products Corp. in Pekin for five years.

She was a member of the Capricorn Club at Corn Products Corp. and the 25-Year Club at American Distilling Co.

She also was a member of First United Methodist Church in Pekin; its Dorcas-Ruth Circle, where she served as past secretary; its United Methodist Women; and its Builders Sunday School Class.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel, where visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Terry Edele will officiate. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens.

Catherine Briles married John Augustus Argenbright, son of John Henry Argenbright and Christina Baker, on 15 February 1842 at Harrison Co., IN. Catherine Briles died in 1908 at Macomb, McDonough Co., IL.

     Charles Thomas Brilhart was born on 2 November 1913 at Manchester, Carroll Co., MD, WW II draft registratioln.¹ He married Mary N. Wertz.
