     Jost Henrich Brombach was born in February 1690/91 at Muesen, Nassau-Siegen (now in Nordrhein-Westfalen), Germany. He was the son of Johannes Brombach and Anna Margaretha Kemper.      Julianna Brombach was born in January 1651. She was the daughter of Jost Brombach and Catharina Klein. Julianna Brombach was christened on 12 January 1650/51 at Muesen, Nassau-Siegen (now in Nordrhein-Westfalen), Germany.

     Maria Gertraut Brombach was born circa 1721 at Germantown, Fauquier Co., VA. She was the daughter of Melchior Brombach and Maria Elisabetha Fischbach. Maria Gertraut Brombach married Jacob Neuschwanger, son of Christian Neuenschwander and Anna Magdalena Steffen, on 5 June 1738 at Opequon, Frederick (now Shenandoah) Co., VA.¹ Maria Gertraut Brombach married Michael Wolfe circa 1755.² Maria Gertraut Brombach left a will in June 1766 at Frederick Co., VA; Will book 3, pl.338.²

     Melchior Brombach was born circa 1685 at Muesen, Nassau-Siegen (now in Nordrhein-Westfalen), Germany. He was the son of Johannes Brombach and Anna Margaretha Kemper. Melchior Brombach married Maria Elisabetha Fischbach, daughter of Philipp Fischbach and Elisabeth Heimbach, circa 1714 at Germanna Colony, Orange Co. (now), VA, The marriage may have occurred in Trupbach, Nassau-Siegen immediately prior to the emigration. Melchior and Elizabeth first lived in the common compound at Germanna in what is present-day Orange County, Virginia, but about 1721, along with many others from the settlement, relocated several miles northeast of Germanna. There on Licking Run, in what was then old Stafford County, later Prince William and since 1759, Fauquier County, the settlers took up individual tracts and named their new community "Germantown." Melchior and Elizabeth took up 100 acres (lot #7). Those seeking a deed to their land appeared in Spotsylvania County Court, 2 June 1724 to certify that they were legal residents of Virginia.

"Melcherd Brumback in order to take up land according to Royal Charter made oath that he came into this Colony to dwell in 1714 and brought with him his wife Elizabeth and that this is the first time of proving said importation, whereupon certificate is ordered to be granted them the right to take up land." Spotsylvania Co. VA Will Book "A", pp. 3-4.(Bly.)² Melchior Brombach emigrated in 1714; Emigrated from Nassau-Siegen without permission as a bachelor (Holzclaw).

Civil records at Muesen prove that "Melchior, son of Johannes, wandered off to the Island of Carolina" by 1713. In December, 1713, Caspar Brumbach of Muesen asked to be relieved of a tax burden he was asked to pay on behalf of his brother Melchior "who had gone to foreign lands."(Bly).^3,2 He immigrated in April 1714 to Orange Co., VA; To Gov. Spotswood's Germanna Colony at the forks of the Rapidan in present-day Orange County, Virginia. He died before July 1746 at Germantown, Fauquier Co. (now), VA.
Note: Left no male heirs. His four daughters were proved by a deed in Prince William County, VA, 28 July 1746, in which Stephen Hatzenbiller, Jacob Neuschwanger, and Christopher Windle, all of Frederick County, deeded to their brother and sister, Henry Otterback and Agnes Otterback, the land at Germantown which had belonged to Melchior Brumback (Prince William Co. Deed Book "I", p. 150).

     Deanna Lynn Bronson was born on 4 April 1957 at Dodge City, Ford Co., KS. She was the daughter of Gloria Lantz. Deanna Lynn Bronson married Juan Garcia on 10 January 1976 at Miami, Ottawa Co., OK. Deanna Lynn Bronson died on 1 October 2000 at Kansas City, Wyandotte Co., KS, at age 43. She was buried in October 2000 at Princeton Cemetery, Princeton, Franklin Co., KS, Find A Grave Memorial# 47837039.

     Ida Matilda Bronson was born in 1876.¹ She was the daughter of Hosea A. Bronson.¹ Ida Matilda Bronson married Samuel Thomas Johnson, son of Thomas P. Johnson and Catharine E. Harrison, on 31 July 1897.¹

     Melvin Allen Bronson was born on 24 February 1952. He was the son of Gloria Lantz. Melvin Allen Bronson died on 8 January 1969 at age 16. He was buried in January 1969 at Princeton Cemetery, Princeton, Franklin Co., KS, Find A Grave Memorial# 29928743.

     Alice Barbara Brook married Joseph Edward Weaver.

     Alexander Tunstall Brooke was born on 22 August 1855 at Essex or Spotsylvania Co., VA.¹ He was the son of William Hill Brooke and Clarissa Jane Lawrence.¹ Alexander Tunstall Brooke died on 21 February 1927 at Essex Co., VA, at age 71.

     Alice Brooke was born circa 1867 at Essex Co., VA.¹ She was the daughter of William Hill Brooke and Clarissa Jane Lawrence.¹

     Anna B. Wilson Brooke was born on 25 December 1876 at Mississippi. She was the daughter of William Thornton Brooke and Lina J. F. Abernathy. Anna B. Wilson Brooke married Robert Hill Steger, son of William Allen Steger and Tallulah Allen, in 1899 at Texas, Three children born, two living as of the 1910 census.¹ Anna B. Wilson Brooke died on 6 August 1958 at Dallas, Dallas Co., TX, at age 81.

     Clara M. Brooke was born in July 1878 at Mississippi. She was the daughter of William Thornton Brooke and Lina J. F. Abernathy. Clara M. Brooke married Edmund Harris Steger Sr., son of William Allen Steger and Tallulah Allen, circa 1915 at Texas. Clara M. Brooke died on 22 May 1943 at Dallas Co., TX, at age 64.

     Eliza Ann Brooke married Isaac Walker Jr., son of Isaac Walker and Deborah Dickinson. Eliza Ann Brooke died in 1895.

     Elizabeth Sprigg Brooke was born circa 1834 at Ohio.¹ She married Rev. Henry Dwight Healy on 9 October 1856 at Ogle Co., IL. Elizabeth Sprigg Brooke died circa 1890 at Illinois.

     Ella Brooke was born on 12 May 1854 at Essex or Spotsylvania Co., VA.¹ She was the daughter of William Hill Brooke and Clarissa Jane Lawrence.¹ Ella Brooke died in 1933.

     John Lawrence Brooke was born on 1 November 1847 at Essex or Spotsylvania Co., VA.¹ He was the son of William Hill Brooke and Clarissa Jane Lawrence.¹ John Lawrence Brooke died on 17 June 1938 at age 90.

     Lawrence William Brooke was born on 22 May 1906 at Licking Co., OH.¹ He was the son of William Lee Brooke Jr. and Jennie M. Bline.¹ Lawrence William Brooke married Helen Marie Mercer in 1937, no children. Lawrence William Brooke died on 15 October 1986 at age 80. He was buried in October 1986 at Wilson Cemetery, Newark, Licking Co., OH, Findagrave #69350702.
