     Lula Marie Caraway was born in 1918. She was the daughter of Archie Rue Caraway and Lula M. Tallman.

     Martha Caraway married David Freeman.

     Thomas Clyde Caraway was born in 1926. He was the son of Archie Rue Caraway and Lula M. Tallman.

     Vivian Jane Caraway was born in 1913. She was the daughter of Archie Rue Caraway and Lula M. Tallman.

     Dorothy Larene Carbaugh was born in 1931. She was the daughter of Jesse Owen Carbaugh and Edna Irene (?) Dorothy Larene Carbaugh married Guy E. Lairmore, son of Frank Lairmore and Estella V. Slade. Dorothy Larene Carbaugh was buried in 2011 at Lincoln Memorial Park, Lincoln, Lancaster Co., NE, Findagrave #173736128. She died in 2011.

     Jacob Carbaugh married Julia (?).

     Jesse Owen Carbaugh was born on 1 February 1888 at Illinois. He married Edna Irene (?). Jesse Owen Carbaugh died on 16 July 1962 at age 74. He was buried in July 1962 at Fort McPherson National Cemetery, Maxwell, Lincoln Co., NE, Findagrave #462454.

     Opal Mary Carcilio was born on 24 July 1918. She married Walter Ansel Easton Ryan, son of John William Rhine and Margaret Weir Bewick, in 1943. Opal Mary Carcilio died on 17 June 2005 at age 86.      Altie Card was born circa 1876 at Lenawee Co., MI.¹ She was the daughter of John Freeman Card and Charlotte Augusta Boyd.¹

     Charles W. Card was born in November 1877 at Lenawee Co., MI.¹ He was the son of John Freeman Card and Charlotte Augusta Boyd.¹

     John Freeman Card was born on 30 June 1846 at Lenawee Co., MI. He married Charlotte Augusta Boyd, daughter of James Boyd and Matilda Neely, circa 1875. John Freeman Card died on 6 July 1921 at Lenawee Co., MI, at age 75.

     Edith Kathryn Cardani was born on 16 December 1914 at Iowa. She was the daughter of Joseph (Giuseppe) Cardani and Angelina De Gard. Edith Kathryn Cardani married Kenneth Max Grimes, son of Robert Lewis Grimes and Vesta Louise Chapman, on 8 August 1937 at Centerville, Appanoose Co., IA. Edith Kathryn Cardani died on 12 July 2002 at Montgomery Co. (probably), KS, at age 87. She was buried in July 2002 at Fairview-Clio Cemetery, Grand River Twp., Wayne Co., IA.

     Joseph (Giuseppe) Cardani was born circa 1871 at Italy. He married Angelina De Gard. Joseph (Giuseppe) Cardani died in 1946 at Iowa.

     Barbara Lou Carden was born on 27 April 1911 daughter of Robert Lee and Made (Brooks) Carden. She married William Prentiss Reeves Jr., son of William Prentiss Reeves and Lillian W. Wallace, on 23 January 1934 at Fourth Presbyterian Church, Knoxville, Knox Co., TN. Barbara Lou Carden died on 15 August 2001 at age 90. She was buried in August 2001 at Berry Highland Memorial Cemetery, Knoxville, Knox Co., TN, Findagrave #167363442.

     Mary Frances Carden was born on 11 April 1921 at Texas. She married Charles Edward Carr on 28 February 1939 at Harris Co., TX. Mary Frances Carden died on 4 April 1962 at Houston, Harris Co., TX, at age 40. She was buried in April 1962 at Brookside Memorial Park, Houston, Harris Co., TX, Findagrave #83473555.

     Mona Bell Cardin was born on 25 September 1896 at Kentucky.¹ She married William Merritt Mitchell before 1 January 1925, William and Mona Mitchell are listed in the 1925 census of Emmetsburg, Palo Alto Co., Iowa, with their first two children.

     Francesca Cardinale was also known as "Frances". She was born on 19 February 1912 at Colorado. She was the daughter of Salvatore Cardinale and Anna Guccione. Francesca Cardinale married Walter Homer Gammill, son of Alexander Homer Gammill and Lydia Heazeltine, on 26 March at Albuquerque, Bernalillo Co., NM. Francesca Cardinale died on 11 February 1994 at Boise, Ada Co., ID, at age 81. She was buried in February 1994 at Terrace Lawn Memorial Gardens, Boise, Ada Co., ID.

     Salvatore Cardinale married Anna Guccione.

     Charles Scott Cardwell was born on 18 September 1892 at New Florence, Montgomery Co., MO.¹ He married Ruth Virginia Hatchett. Charles Scott Cardwell lived on 2 April 1930 at New Florence, Montgomery Co., MO, farming.¹ He died on 11 February 1976 at New Florence, Montgomery Co., MO, at age 83. He was buried in February 1976 at New Florence Cemetery, New Florence, Montgomery Co., MO, Findagrave #123166108.

     Emily Louise Cardwell was also known as "Emmie Lou". She was born on 5 August 1920 at New Florence, Montgomery Co., MO.¹ She was the daughter of Charles Scott Cardwell and Ruth Virginia Hatchett. Emily Louise Cardwell married Howard DaVault Nunnelly, son of Henry Howard Nunnelly and Katherine Clare DaVault, on 7 July 1941.

Emily Louise (Emmy Lou) Nunnelly (nee Cardwell) died on August 5, 2019 in her home in New Florence, Mo. She was 99.

Born at home to Charles S. and Ruth V. (nee Hachett) Cardwell on August 5, 1920, Emmy Lou attended New Florence School for 12 years, graduated, and later attended business school in Columbia, Mo.

Emmy Lou was the widow of Howard Davault Nunnelly, her hometown sweetheart, who died on March 30, 1986. They were married July 4, 1941, and started married life moving frequently around the country for her husband’s employer. They returned to New Florence, Mo., in 1952, where they lived all their lives, raising three daughters: Cherie, Colleen, and Robin.

An industrious woman, she owned and operated the local Sinclair gas station with her husband, served as the office manager of the New Florence Telephone Company, and became a licensed insurance agent.

A life-long member of the New Florence United Methodist Church, she actively served the church in many roles, including as a Sunday school teacher, treasurer, board member, and wherever help was needed. She loved and kept the community in her heart. Emmy Lou was passionate about family and community history and was a resource for those seeking to learn about the past. Her home was always welcoming. She enjoyed hosting family gatherings. She imparted love and life lessons to the younger generations, encouraging them in their endeavors. After her retirement, she became a master knitter, creating warm and soft items for family and friends, as well as teaching others the craft.

Emmy Lou was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughter Colleen, her brother, George ‘G.T.’ his wife, Delphine, her brother Ralph, her sister Leah Sutton and brother-in-law / son-in-law Ben Sutton.

She is survived by her brother, Charles ‘Jack’ Cardwell (GeJuan), sister-in-law Geraldine ‘Jerri’ Cardwell, daughter Cherie Bledsoe-Sutton, granddaughter Kama Bledsoe (Michael Owen), great-grandchildren Isabelle and Will Owen, daughter Robin Nunnelly (Stephen Chappell), step-granddaughter Cortnee Smith (Brian), step-grandchildren Audrey, Noelle, and Preston Smith, grandson Timothy Davault Chappell, and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

The memory of Emmy Lou’s warm, caring ways will be treasured and missed by family and friends.

Memorial contributions are welcomed to the Central Methodist University-scholarship fund in memory of Charles Scott Cardwell, who was Emmy Lou’s father. Memorials are also welcomed to the New Florence Cemetery Association, c/o Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home 1221 Washington Street, Hermann, Mo 65041.

Visitation will be at Toedtmann-Grosse Funeral Home in New Florence, Mo., from 4:30-7:30 p.m. on Friday, August 9.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 10, at the New Florence United Methodist Church. Burial service will follow at the New Florence Cemetery.

     James Henry Cardwell married Hazel Sullins.

     Note: Timmie's uncle was Dr. David Sullins, a preacher and educator. Dr. David Sullins founded Sullins College in Bristol. He was president of several colleges in Tennessee and Virginia.
In 1912 Timmie (Cardwell) DeVault and her daughter Emily traveled extensively in Europe, also visiting her son, Clyde DeVault, who was studying the violin in Prague.
