She was born Dec. 24, 1930 in Dearborn, to Anthony and Frances (Laflin) Caristianos. On April 21, 1951, she married John (Bill) Furgason, and he survives. Mrs. Furgason was active in women's bowling and the Blissfield Firemen's Auxiliary. She was also a school bus driver for several years at the Blissfield High School. Clyde Carl, 73, of Trego Creek Rd. died 9:40 p.m., Oct . 10, 1989 in Medical Center Hospital following an extended illness. He was born June 3, 1916, in Smithfield, West Virginia to George W. and Verna Baker Carl. On March 27, 1936, he married the former Darleen A. Farnham, who survives. Also surviving are children, Mrs. David L. (Ruth) Michael, Mesa, Arizona, Mrs. Pat A. (Carolyn R.) Manion, Chillicothe, Gene C. Carl, Dayton, and Harold E. Carl, Roger A. Carl, Danny A. Carl and Jeffrey L. Carl, all of Chillicothe and Tech/Sgt. Tim L. Carl, U.S. Army, stationed in Hawaii; 25 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Henry, Richmond Dale; several nieces and nephews including Francis Hammond, of Chillicothe. He was predeceased by a son, Terry Russell Carl; three sisters and six brothers. Mr. Carl served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and he retired in 1975 from Chilpaco, where he had worked for over 31 years. Funeral services are to be held in the Ware Funeral Home, with Rev. John A. Tipton officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery where there will be military graveside rites. CARTHAGE – Funeral services for Elizabeth Carlisle Dennard, age withheld by family, will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, 2006, with Bro. Mike Cross and Bro. Dustin Cross officiating under the direction of Hawthorn Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Martin Cemetery.
Ms. Dennard died Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2006, in Carthage. She was born on Oct. 22, in Millsap to Clayton and Abbie Payne Carlisle. She married James Clinton Dennard on Oct. 18, 1946. Ms. Dennard was a long-time member of the First United Methodist Church of Tatum.
