Kenneth Chamberlain, 74, a resident of Campbell Drive, Aberdeen, died Thursday, January 6, 2011 at the Meadowview Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Chamberlain was born on December 30, 1936 in Robertson County, Kentucky, the son of the late Isaac C. and Irene Herrington Chamberlain. He was a well known self-employed electrician and plumber for over 40 years. He was a Huntington Township Trustee for the last 20 years.

Mr. Chamberlain is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, Ilene Payne Chamberlain, one son John (Elizabeth) Chamberlain of Maysville, one daughter Tonya (Greg) Slone of Kansas City, MO, and seven grandchildren. Also surviving is a special nephew Steve Payne of Aberdeen, three sisters Peggy Morgan, Paulette Radcliffe, Betty Kersch, several brothers and sisters in law and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Isaac Chamberlain, Jr. and a sister, Mary Norman.

Services for Kenneth Chamberlain were held Monday, January 10 at 1 P.M. at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home with Rev. E. Ray Throckmorton and Mr. Greg Slone officiating. Burial was in the Charter Oak Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were Craig Chamberlain, Brandon Payne, Jimmy Mitchell, Randy Dugan, Randy Ginn, Will Eastwood, Jerry Jones, David Pfeffer. Honorary bearers were the Aberdeen Huntington Township Fire Department and Life Squad Members.

Memorials may be made to the Charter Oak Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund, 2164 State Route 763, Aberdeen, OH 45101.

He was buried in January 2011 at Charter Oak Cemetery, Aberdeen, Brown Co., OH, Findagrave #63972346.

Obituary – News, Longton, Kansas; Thursday, 22 JUL 1954:

William Chamberlen, 89 years and 12 days old, passed away last Thursday in his home at Longton. Mr. Chamberlen was a farmer most of his life and was well known and respected by all who knew him.

Funeral services were held last Saturday at the Methodist Church with Rev. C. P. Broadfoot officiating at the service. Burial was in the Longton cemetery. The music was furnished by Marie Howland, Georgia Freeman, and Neva Morgridge was at the piano. Acting as Paul Bearers were his grandsons, Dean Arnold, Orville Arnold, Richard Persinger, and Ernest Persinger.

William H. Chamberlen, son of Joab G. Chamberlen and Rosanna (Rohrer) Chamberlen was born in Huntington, Indiana, July 30, 1865, and died at his home in Longton, Kansas, July 15, 1954.

There were two sisters and six brothers all who preceded him in death. His wife, Lillian May (Munsinger) Chamberlen, one daughter, Milly (Chamberlen) Persinger, and one son, Roscoe Giles Chamberlen, also preceded him in death.

One son, Cecil Chamberlen and one daughter, Mrs. Edith Arnold, both of Longton, still survive. There are several nieces and nephews, friends of the family extend their sincere sympathy.

He was buried in July 1954 at Longton Cemetery, Longton, Elk Co., KS, Findagrave #89952019.

Glenna M. Fagan, 89, of Vandalia, formerly of Troy, passed away at 8:30 a.m. Monday, July 13, 2009, at Englewood Manor.

She was born Oct. 8, 1919, in Miami County, to the late Archie and Helena (Mendenhall) Chambers. Glenna married Arthur K. Fagan and he preceded her in death on Oct. 6, 1978.

She is survived by her three sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Shirlee Fagan of Fallbrook, Calif., Gary and Karen Fagan of Vandalia and Tom and Jane Fagan of Butler Township, Montgomery County; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jean Kiehl of Bowling Green.

In addition to her husband and parents, Glenna was preceded in death by her stepfather, William C. Shellhouse; grandson, Michael Fagan; two brothers, Glenn and Ray Shellhouse; and sister, Thelma Martin Sullivan.

She was a graduate of Newton High School in Pleasant Hill. Glenna was a member of the First United Church of Christ, Troy. She was a member and former officer of the U.A.W. Local 128 Retirees Club of Troy. Glenna was a longtime volunteer kindergarten aide at Murlin Heights Elementary School in Butler Township.

The funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy, with Pastor Carol Bastin officiating. Visitation will take place at the funeral home from noon to 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.

She was buried in July 2009 at Riverside Cemetery, Troy, Miami Co., OH, Findagrave #39810956.
