LAS VEGAS, Nev. -- The service was in Las Vegas where interment was at Palm Memorial Park, for Thomas C. Clark, 67, formerly of Marion.
The brother of a Marion resident, he died unexpectedly June 4, in his Las Vegas home.
He was born May 28, 1915, in Cambridge, coming as a child to Marion, which was his home until about 16 years ago, when he moved to Las Vegas.
Before retiring as a chief warrant officer, he served in the U.S. Army 20 years. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II.
The member of Marion Lodge 70 F&AM is survived by his wife, Helen Nemes Clark, a son Willard Clark, Las Vegas, and a sister, Marguerite Osterholt, Marion.

He was buried in June 1982 at Palm Desert Memorial, Las Vegas, Clark Co., NV, Findagrave #177339867.

     Note: Thomas D. Clark spent most of his adult life in Alabama. He served one term as Attorney General in that state. He was married and had one son who died in infancy. Attorney General Thomas D. Clark was born on 27 June 1818. He was the son of Jeremiah Clark and Eleanor Boone.

     Velma Clark was born on 18 November 1908.¹ She was the daughter of Wallace Bruce Clark and Delia L. Abbott.

     Verle E. Clark was born on 7 November 1914 at Washington or Morgan Co., OH. He was the son of John H. Clark and Lucy Olive Law. Verle E. Clark married Lucy Martin, daughter of William Sherman Martin and Della Florence Jones. Verle E. Clark died on 3 November 2008 at Cutler, Washington Co., OH, at age 93.      Viola Clark was born on 22 February 1910.¹ She was the daughter of Wallace Bruce Clark and Delia L. Abbott. Viola Clark died on 2 April 1911 at age 1.¹

     Viola Helen Clark was born in 1905. She married Hal Clinton Wright, son of James A. Wright and Bertha May Coates, on 18 October 1925.

     Virgil Houston Clark was born on 17 May 1912. He married Frances Marian Rhoden.      Walter Forest Clark was born on 8 September 1888 at Ohio.¹ He married Maude Elizabeth Hinkle on 29 November 1919 at Belmont Co., OH. Walter Forest Clark lived on 19 April 1930 at Bethesda, Belmont Co., OH, cigar roller in cigar factory.¹ He died on 16 August 1974 at Belmont Co., OH, at age 85.

He was the son of Charles Taylor Clark and Catherine Agnes Gilmore. Walter Robert Clark married Christine (?).¹ Occupation: Assistant sales manager at wholesale store in 1920.¹ Walter Robert Clark lived in 1949 at 7252 Northmore Drive, University City, St. Louis Co., MO. He died on 27 November 1949 at University City, St. Louis Co., MO, at age 69. He was buried in 1949 at Calvary Cemetery and Mausoleum, St. Louis, MO.

     Wanda Jean Clark was also known as "Jean". She was born on 7 September 1927 at Belmont Co., OH.¹ She was the daughter of Walter Forest Clark and Maude Elizabeth Hinkle. Wanda Jean Clark married Wesley Elias Carpenter, son of Calvin Carpenter and Pearl Martha Starr, on 23 March 1947 at Belmont Co., OH. Wanda Jean Clark lived in 1993 at Barnesville, Belmont Co., OH.

William T. Clark, 76, of 4304 Rownd St., Cedar Falls, formerly a resident of Waterloo for 48 years, died Monday afternoon at his home of a coronary attack.

Services will be at 2 p. m. Friday at Calvary United Methodist Church, Waterloo. The Rev. John H. McFarland, pastor of Graves United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories. Military rites will be by the Guy W. Iverson Amvet Post 49 of Cedar Falls.

For many years Mr. Clark was employed by the city of Waterloo, retiring in 1960. He was a member of the Municipal Laborers Local 1127.

He was born on March 26, 1893, the son of Samuel Gilbert. and Elizabeth Jain Cox Clark at Independence. He attended the Independence schools.

Mr. Clark entered military service on June 29, 1916, and served with the Rainbow division through the campaigns of World War I. He was honorably discharged as a private first class from Company B, 168th Infantry on May 16, 1919.

He married Clara Kruger on Nov. 27, 1919. They resided at 1340 Newell St. until 1967. Since that time he has made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Fern Atwood of 4304 Rownd Street.

His wife died on February 8, 1969. He is survived by three sons: Duane Clark of 804 Kern Street; James of Phoenix, Arizona; and Roger of 410 Vinton Street; two daughters, Mrs. Fern Atwood, 4304 Rownd Street, Cedar falls, and Mrs. Robert Hild of 1525 Easton Avenue; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, five brothers, two sisters and two great-grandchildren.

Zirla Clark married Frank Alton DeVault, son of William Walker DeVault and Estella Mae Pence, in 1942; no children. Zirla Clark died on 8 September 2002 at Shelbyville, Shelby Co., IN, at age 96 OBITUARY:

Zirla "Pat" DeVault, 96 of Shelbyville, died Sunday, Sept. 8, 2002, at Heritage House Convalescent Center.
Born Dec. 3, 1905, in Colfax, Ill., she was the daughter of Frank O. Clark. She married Frank DeVault and he preceded her in death on Sept. 27, 1960.
Survivors include one brother, Lowell Clark of Anderson, and one niece, Beverly Jones of Westport.
Mrs. DeVault was a homemaker.
Private graveside services will be Friday in Forest Hill Cemetery.
No visitation will be observed.
