Services for Betty Jane Randel, 76, Baldwin, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at New Life Assembly of God Church in Baldwin. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Baldwin.
Mrs. Randel died Thursday, Oct. 14, 2004, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born Aug. 26, 1928, in Berhimer, Mo., the daughter of Clydie Oscar and Zola D. Smith Collins. She grew up in Bryant, Mo., where she attended school. She graduated from Baldwin High School.
Mrs. Randel was a homemaker. She worked at Sunflower Ordnance Depot at De Soto. She and her husband owned and operated a Dairy Queen in Lawrence and a laundromat in Baldwin. She also worked as a custodian at Baker University. She was a member of New Life Assembly of God in Baldwin.
She married Orville Randel on Nov. 28, 1950, in Nevada, Mo. He survives, of the home.
Other survivors include two sons, John Rockhold, Lawrence, and Greg Randel, Baldwin; a daughter, Judy Randel-Phillips, Topeka; four sisters, Joy Stafford, Walla Walla, Wash., Mildred Schomer, Lawrence, Dorothy Spring, Williamsburg, and Sue Von Bargen, Baldwin; two brothers, Bill Collins, Centropolis, and Bob Collins, Mountain Grove, Mo; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A son, Roger Dale Randel Sr., died earlier.

She was buried in October 2004 at Oakwood Cemetery, Baldwin City, Douglas Co., KS.

     Boyd K. Collins was born on 20 November 1925. He died on 14 February 2009 at Custer Co., OK, at age 83 dates per SSDI, last address Clinton.

Carolina Janet Collins married Ralph Ingram, son of William Andrew Ingram and Ida Sarah (?), on 25 December 1926, no children. Carolina Janet Collins died on 5 May 1990 at age 92. She was buried in May 1990 at Guymon, Texas Co., OK.

     Charles Sylvester Collins was also known as "Bob". He was born on 2 February 1861 at Two Taverns, Adams Co., PA. He was the son of James Harvey Collins and Caroline Orendorff. Charles Sylvester Collins married Lula Bell Gillmore, daughter of Ephriam Bradley Gillmore and Mary Emily Hunt, on 24 December 1896 at Lamar, Barton Co., MO. Charles Sylvester Collins died on 22 February 1911 at Stonington, Baca Co., CO, at age 50. He was buried in February 1911 at Stonington Cemetery, Stonington, Baca Co., CO.

     Clarence Andrew Collins was also known as "Poncho". He was born on 21 January 1942. He began military service Vietnam War service, U.S. Army. He married Lillie Louise Gray.
