     Frank LeRoy Coons was born on 29 June 1904 at Rochester Twp., Sangamon Co., IL.¹ He was the son of Reuna R. Coons and Myra Ashton.¹ Frank LeRoy Coons married Hazel Jones, daughter of Arthur A. Jones and Margaret Wanless, in 1928. Frank LeRoy Coons lived in 1940 at 2328 South Eleventh Street, Springfield, Sangamon Co., IL.² He died on 20 February 1986 at Lincoln, Logan Co., IL, at age 81 Frank L. Coons, 81, of Lincoln died at 2:45 a.m. Thursday at his residence. Born in Rochester township, Mr. Coons was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Lincoln.

He served as past master of St. Paul's Lodge 500 AF&AM, and was a member of the Springfield Consistory, Ansar Shrine, Lincoln Chapter 351 Order of Eastern Star, Lincoln Tri-Police Association, and an honorary member of the Venus Chapter 408 OES.

Surviving are his wife, Hazel; one brother, Harvey R. of Springfield; three sisters, Mrs. Helen Blumle, Mrs. Ethel Dietrich and Mrs. Luella Hinrich, all of Springfield; several nieces and nephews.

     Virginia Holyace Coons was born on 20 April 1922 at Sangamon Co., IL.¹ She was the daughter of Holyace Emery Coons and Camilla Edna Holliday.¹ Virginia Holyace Coons married Arnold Frederick Westerhold, son of Herman C. Westerhold and Henrietta Wille, on 5 September 1942. Virginia Holyace Coons died on 5 March 2009 at Springfield, Sangamon Co., IL, at age 86 SPRINGFIELD - Virginia Holyace Westerhold, 86, of Springfield died at 10:17 a.m. Thursday, March 5, 2009, at Memorial Medical Center.

She was born April 20, 1922, in Springfield, the daughter of Holyace and Camilla Holliday Coons. She married Arnold Frederick Westerhold on Sept. 5, 1942.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Doris Kother; and a brother, Morris Coons.

She is survived by her husband, Arnold Frederick Westerhold; a daughter, Karen (John) Nosko of Downers Grove; two sons, Morris (Anne Marie) Westerhold of Naperville and Roger Westerhold of Dawson; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Virginia was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ and was a homemaker.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2009, at Staab Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 9, 2009, at Rochester Cemetery with Pastor Brian Damrow officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Theresa Elizabeth Coontz Fitz, 45, beloved wife, mother, daughter, and sister, departed this life on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011 in Blue Ridge Hospice Center, Winchester, Va., following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born May 9, 1966 in Elkins, W. Va. Theresa graduated from Martinsburg High School in 1984. She was formerly employed by the Ralph Lauren warehouse in Martinsburg. Theresa had a great love for her family, friends, animals, and nature. She enjoyed doing crafts with her children, reading, gardening, and her many flower beds. She was a co-leader of the Girl Scout Troop 40402, and was baptized in the Latter Day Saints Church at the age of 8.

She will be sadly missed by her husband Ivan, children, Cory, Max and Ivy; parents, Dorothy and Eugene Coontz; sister and brother-in-law, Tina and Fred Szahowski; brother, Daniel Coontz; nephews Josh and Patrick Szahowski, and niece, Kimberly Coontz.

She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Goff and Mary Coontz, Dixie and Betty Plymale, and one aunt, Bonnie.

Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Rosedale Funeral Home, Martinsburg.

Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, January 6, 2012 at Rosedale Funeral Home, Martinsburg, with Pastor Jeff Phillis officiating. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
