William was first married to Marie Allah Logan (1895-1975) in 1915, and had two daughters, Mickey Halyne and Deborah, before they divorced.

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. -- Mr. Dennis Lee Crowe, 60, 2409 Huffine Circle, died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2001, at his residence.
He was a native of Bristol Virginia, and the son of the late Earnest and Dora Booher Crowe. He resided in Johnson City for the last 30 years. Before his retirement he worked at Southeastern Color Graphics. Mr. Crowe was a graduate of East Tennessee State University and a member of the Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity. He was a U.S. Army veteran from 1963 to 1965. He was a former deacon of Bethany Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Crowe of the home; and two daughters, Elizabeth Fain Crowe, Jonesbrough, and Lee Margaret Crowe, Johnson City.
Graveside services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15, 2001, at Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jim Butcher, Lewis Purifoy, Hillman Ramsey, Jim Geiger, Frank Cunningham, Ron Giles and Tom Burton.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to ETSU Foundation and the Johnson City Animal Shelter.

Hazel C. Mixon

Services are scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Monday at Moore Funeral Home in Hattiesburg for Hazel C. Mixon, 77, of Hattiesburg, who died Sept. 9,1989 at the home of her daughter in Hattiesburg.

The Rev. Phil Harris and the Rev. Bill Evans will officiate. Interment will be in Roseland Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Mixon, a native of Hattiesburg, was a graduate of Hattiesburg High School. She retired after 20 years as a clerk for J.C. Penney. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, the Calvaliers and the Baptist Women of Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Prine of Hattiesburg and Carol Best of Arlington, Texas; three sons, Robert Mixon of Gulfport, Joe Mixon of New Boston, Texas, and the Rev. Jerry Mixon of Winona; one sister, Hilda Harris of Lakeland, Fla; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

He married Ethel Delean Scott, daughter of Johnston Joseph Scott and Leona Popwell, Ethel was first married to Fonnie Austin Reeves (1912 - 1992) and had children Gene Autry and Priscilla Ann. After divorcing Fonnie, she remarried to MacAgar Dallas Smith (1917 - 1998) in 1946. She was remarried to William H. Crowe by August 1958 when her daughter Priscilla married Jerry Sanford. After William died, she remarried to a Weatherford. William Harbert Alfred Crowe Jr. died on 5 August 1974 at age 53. He was buried in August 1974 at Hillcrest Cemetery, Petal, Forrest Co., MS, Findagrave #69450133.
