Obituary -- Chillicothe Gazette, Chillicothe, Ohio, Friday, 14 DEC 1934, p.12 (Newspapers.com):
Earl, son of Charles and Della Dawson was born Jan. 29, 1897, near Clarksburg, O. The greater part of his life was spent in the neighboring community of Clarksburg where he attended school and grew to manhood. While yet in childhood he became a member of Asbury Chapel. He grew to manhood loving the Saviour that has been his guide and been with him all through the long hours of suffering.
His pleasant disposition and sunny smile won for him a host of friends.
Oct. 25, 1917, he was united in marriage with Stella Steinhausser. As farming was his occupation, they started their home on the farm. Into this happy home came two daughters, namely, Mary Kathryn and Alice Joanne. Their's was a home of love and happiness, until he was overtaken by a disease that medical skill could not overcome.
On Friday morning, Dec. 7, 1934, the Master said, "Come Abide with Me".
He leaves his wife, two daughters, father, mother, two brothers, two sisters and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his departure.
