Charles Logan Easterheld

M, b. 5 January 1887, d. 21 January 1924
Charles Logan Easterheld was born on 5 January 1887 at Cowley Co. (probably), KS, WW I draft registration shows 1885. However, (A) his sister Myrtle was born and died during 1885, as evidenced by her headstone, and (B) both the 1895 and the 1905 Kansas censuses of Cowley County are consistent with 1887 birth year, and (C) he is listed on the 1900 census, living in the household of his brother William, and the year of birth is clearly 1887. Given the loss of his parents when he was young, one can imagine it was important to qualify for military service as early as feasible -- he was already in the Navy by April, 1910. DLB 2017.1,2 He was the son of Henry Easterheld and Matilda Talitha Windell. Occupation: Sailor on USS Buffalo on 6 May 1910.2 Charles Logan Easterheld died on 21 January 1924 at age 37.
