     George Henry Dickman was born on 21 November 1886 at Illinois. He married Nina Wilson, daughter of Eli Wilson Jr. and Lucinda Larimore, circa 1917. George Henry Dickman lived on 1 May 1930 at Melvin, Osceola Co., IA, livestock buyer.¹ He and Nina Wilson were divorced before April 1940. Word has been received of the June 13, 2001 passing of a former resident Ronald “Ron” E. Dickmeyer in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Marjorie (Marge Crosby) Dickmeyer, formerly of Valparaiso, Indiana; three children, Dorothy (Dody) Katz of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Thomas (Tom) of Overland Park, Kansas and James (Jim) of LaPaz, Bolivia, three grandchildren, Joel Katz and Andrew and Kenneth Dickmeyer; also surviving are three sisters and two brothers.

Ron was born in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, March 6, 1925. He attended Valparaiso University where he played basketball in the 1940’s. The family suggests that as a memorial, friends are invited to send a written memory of Ron to he family, which will be compiled into a memory book. The family home is 3828 Clark Road, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52403.

     Dulcie Dessie Dicks was born on 25 October 1889 at Carroll Co., OH. She was the daughter of Harlun Dicks and Rebecca Jadwin. Dulcie Dessie Dicks married Elmer Peter Clapper, son of Llewellyn Clapper and Sarah Elizabeth McLees, on 29 May 1909 at Morgan Co., OH. Dulcie Dessie Dicks died on 23 November 1943 at age 54. Marie was born in rural Louisiana. She spent several years in an orphanage in Natchez Mississippi after her father died. She married at age 13 to James A Pillow. She was widowed with 5 children when she married Chester W Hanson. She bore 2 additional children. They all moved to California at the end of the Great Depression. Marie was a champion arc welder at Ryan Aeronautics during World War II. She died much too soon - her two oldest sons were at war, her middle daughters were teenagers, and her youngest two children needed a mother's love.
