     Chauncy K. Dryden was born in March 1846 at Montgomery Co. (probably), OH.^1,3 He was the son of John Wendell Dryden and Elizabeth Isabelle Hammacher.¹ Occupation: Railroad conductor in 1870 at Dayton, Montgomery Co., OH.² Chauncy K. Dryden married Martha E. J. Smith on 17 November 1870 at Montgomery Co., OH, Four children born, one living as of the 1900 census. Chauncy K. Dryden lived on 11 June 1900 at Bellevue, Sandusky Co., OH.³ He died on 26 August 1911 at Dayton, Montgomery Co., OH, at age 65 per Ohio Death Records. Cemetery record shows 28 AUG.      Claude Milton Dryden was born on 4 August 1911 at Ozark, Franklin Co., AR, WW II draft registration.¹ He was the son of Leroy Dryden and Gertrude McCullough. Claude Milton Dryden married Clara Marie Hahn, daughter of Charles Leonard Hahn and Coquesia Belle Munsinger. Claude Milton Dryden lived on 1 April 1935 at Oroville, Butte Co., CA.¹ He lived on 23 April 1940 at Browns Valley Road, Marysville Twp., Yuba Co., CA, proprietor, retial grocery store.¹ He lived in 1957 at Marysville, Yuba Co., CA, city directory. Note: Issue of a marriage license to Claude M. Dryden, over 21 years of age, and Rose Daughhetee, over 21 years of age, both of Oroville, California, was reported in the 31 DEC 1931 edition of the Nevada State Journal, Reno, Nevada, p.10 (Newspapers.com). Claude was only 20 at the time, and no Rose Daughhetee is found any closer than Nebraska. No evidence found that any such marriage actually occurred. DLB 2022.

     David Dryden was born circa 1838 at Montgomery Co. (probably), OH.¹ He was the son of John Wendell Dryden and Elizabeth Isabelle Hammacher.¹ David Dryden died on 22 December 1856.      David C. Dryden was born on 17 October 1836 at Frankfort, Franklin Co., KY.¹ He was the son of James F. Dryden and Mary B. Goodwin.² David C. Dryden married Jemima Bevington, daughter of Samuel Bevington and Mary (?), on 7 April 1859 at Montgomery Co., OH, Ceremony by Rev. David Winters. Who Died at the Home of His Daughter, Mrs. Franklin Rice

A stroke of paralysis the day before Thanksgiving terminated Friday afternoon at 5 o'clock in the death of David C. Dryden at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Franklin Rice, on Cincinnati street. The deceased was for years a well known and highly respected citizen of the county. For many years he resided in Alexandersville, where he was postmaster until he removed to Dayton nearly two ears ago to live the remainder of his life in rest and quietude. It was only a few months after coming to Dayton that his wife, Mrs. Jemima Dryden died. A singular fact in this connection is that she too, took ill the day before Thanksgiving and died Dec. 4, just a year and two days before her husband was called to join her.
Mr. Dryden was for years a member of Zion church, south of the city, and for many years was an elder and Sunday school superintendent. He was a member of the American Order of United Workmen. His life was an exemplary one and his death is mourned by all who knew him. Two sons and one daughter survive him. The sons are Edwin W. and David G., and the daughter is Mrs. Franklin Rice. Two sisters and a brother live in Frankfort, Ky., and another sister in the state of Washington.

     David G. Dryden was born on 9 April 1868 at Miami Twp., Montgomery Co., OH.¹ He was the son of David C. Dryden and Jemima Bevington. David G. Dryden began military service in 1891 at Sioux City, Woodbury Co., IA, Enlisted, U.S. Army. He ended military service on 13 March 1893 at Ft. Snelling, Hennepin Co., MN; Discharged, Pvt. in good standing. He married Alice Shank, daughter of David Shank and Frances V. Mooney, on 15 October 1896 at Montgomery Co., OH, This marriage obviously did not last long. Alice is found living in her parents' home with her two Raymer children in the 1900 cnesus, apparently still married but separated.

David G. Dryden married Catherine Kuhn, daughter of George Kuhn and Caroline Fischer, on 27 February 1906 at Montgomery Co., OH. David G. Dryden died on 18 November 1933 at Long Beach, Los Angeles Co., CA, at age 65. Cause of death: Hit by automobile on Atlantic Boulevard, Long Beach, California. He was buried in November 1933 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park (Long Beach), Long Beach, Los Angeles Co., CA, Findagrave #179310552.

     Donald Dryden was born on 10 August 1916 at Toledo, Lucas Co., OH.¹ He was the son of Clifford Smith Dryden and Josephine Dorothea Wilhelmina Maria Gertz.¹ Donald Dryden died on 25 November 1935 at Grand Rapids, Kent Co., MI, at age 19.

     Edna Marie Dryden was born on 7 November 1900 at Chicago, Cook Co., IL.¹ She was the daughter of Edwin Winters Dryden and Eva A. Harding.¹ Edna Marie Dryden married Robert B. Clark.² Edna Marie Dryden lived on 16 April 1940 at 190 Primrose Road, Williston Park, Nassau Co., NY.² She died in January 1983 at Williston Park, Nassau Co., NY, at age 82.

     Edwin Winters Dryden was born on 28 February 1873 at Montgomery Co., OH, or 1872, per 1900 census.¹ He was the son of David C. Dryden and Jemima Bevington. Edwin Winters Dryden married Eva A. Harding, daughter of William V. Harding and Elizabeth (?), on 11 October 1899 at Chicago, Cook Co., IL. Edwin Winters Dryden lived on 4 June 1900 at 4646 Wabash Avenue, Chicago, Cook Co., IL, Clerk for wholesale grocer.² He lived on 15 April 1910 at 326 Hopeland Street, Dayton, Montgomery Co., OH.³ He lived on 8 January 1920 at 105 Mt. Hope Place, Bronx, Bronx Co., NY, Manager, Advertising Co.⁴ He lived on 23 April 1930 at 190 Primrose Road, Williston Park, Nassau Co., NY, Advertising business.⁵ He died on 28 November 1934 at Williston Park, Nassau Co., NY, at age 61 NY State Death Index; Certificate Number: 68046.      Eliza Dryden was also known as "Fanny".² She was born in June 1829 at Montgomery Co., OH.^1,3 She was the daughter of John Wendell Dryden and Elizabeth Isabelle Hammacher.¹ Eliza Dryden married Asa A. Butterfield circa 1847 at Montgomery Co. (probably), OH, Two children born to the marriage, both living as of the 1900 census.^2,3

     Elwood Robert Dryden was born on 25 June 1918 at New York City, NY.¹ He was the son of Edwin Winters Dryden and Eva A. Harding. Elwood Robert Dryden died on 11 November 2005 at age 87.
