FARLEY, Casey James
21, of Springfield, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2011. He was born February 6, 1990 in Springfield, the son of James and Lori (Wheldon) Farley. Casey enjoyed riding dirt bikes and was employed by Jim's Lawn Care. Survivors include his parents; James and Lori Farley, Springfield, one daughter; Brianna Farley, maternal grandparents; Jane and David Simshauser, Springfield, paternal grandmother; Louise Farley, Urbana, aunts and uncles; Jeffrey Wheldon, Springfield and Jerry (Bev) Farley, Urbana, cousins; Brittany Wheldon, Springfield and Sean Farley, Urbana. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather; Walter Farley. Visitation will be held from 6:00PM until 8:00PM Friday in the JONES-KENNEY- ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held at 10:30AM Saturday in the funeral home with Pastor Joe Flora officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.

George C. Farley, 97, is survived by his daughters, Joan L. Twining and Mary Ann (Karl) Lindberg, his grandchildren, Kristen (Jim) Royer, Erik (Chrissy) Lindberg and Tamara (Mark) Stanley and seven great-grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth, Eva Royer, Auden, Cade and Harper Lindberg, and Patryck and McKenna Stanley.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice A. Harms Farley, his parents, a brother, five sisters and a granddaughter.

George was an active member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and enjoyed being in the company of the children of Our Savior God Squad. He volunteered on several boards in his retirement including Senior Service Center, Salem Village, United Way, Department of Aging and the Caterpillar Retirees. During his younger years, George was a runner and swimmer in high school and was a record breaking runner at Northwestern University. He also enjoyed golf, fishing, bowling and traveling the world with his wife.
