Jack was born January 11, 1932 to Cecil and Georgia (Wilken) Gaultney. Jack graduated from Elnora High School in 1951 and served in the US Navy. He married Janice Hamilton and they had one son, Jay; and two daughters, Nancy and Vickie. He later married Sandra Truelove. Jack is survived by a sister, Darlene Roach and several children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, LaDonna Gaultney.

FORTVILLE
Shirley "Darlene" (Gaultney), of Fortville, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2019 at Greenfield Healthcare Center. She was born in Elnora, Indiana on February 24, 1934 to Jack and Georgia Iris (Wilken) Gaultney. She graduated from Elnora High School in 1952. Darlene married Norman D. Roach on January 24, 1953 in Bedford, Indiana.

She worked for Brookside in McCordsville as a punch press operator for 30 plus years and also worked at Tuttle Orchards for 10 plus years. Darlene was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Lapel. She liked cooking, baking, crocheting, and planting flowers. Darlene most of all loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Carla Egerton of Anderson, Marla Roach of Fortville, and Steven (Jennifer) Roach of Fortville; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Sandy Gaultney of Washington, IN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Georgia Gaultney; husband, Norman Roach; sister, Ladonna Johnson; and a brother, Jackie Gaultney.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2019, from 4:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuaray & Crematory, 124 E. Staat Street, Fortville, IN 46040. A funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation at 7:00 p.m. A graveside serivce will be held on Friday, December 20, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery in Elnora, Indiana.

The family would like to thank all the nursing staff at Greenfield Healthcare in the Brookshire Unit.
