Daughter of J. Tom & Louise (Schreiner) Lingenfelter.

She received her early education in rural Pierce county schools and graduated from Plainview High School in 1927. She attended teachers college at Chadron State and at Wayne State. She received her Bachelors Degree in Education from Wayne State. She was married to Iver C. Johnson December 1, 1934 in Madison County. She lived in Pierce County where she taught at several rural schools in Pierce County until 1957 when they moved to Columbus. While in Columbus she taught for Duncan Public Schools and the Columbus Public School System. Upon her retirement she continued to substitute teach. She was a lifetime member of the Methodist Church, currently a member of the First United Methodist Church in Columbus. She also belonged to the Eastern Star, Parent Teachers Organization, Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority, Keystone Group, Womens Society, and the XYZ Club.

JOHNSON - Iver C. Johnson, 63, of 2169 32nd Avenue, died Tuesday night at Bryan Memorial Hospital, Lincoln. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church and Roselawn Cemetery. The body will lie in state from 1 p.m. Thursday until noon Friday at McKown Funeral Chapel; 1-2 p.m. at church.

JOHNSON - The funeral of Iver Carl Johnson, 63, of 2169 32nd Avenue, will be 2 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. J. Graydon Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

His body lies in state at McKown Funeral Home until noon Friday, then at church from 1 to 2 p.m.

Mr. Johnson was born Feb. 8, 1910 at Plainview, attended Pierce County Schools and farmed in that county until moving to Columbus in 1957. Here he was a member of United Methodist Church and Keystone Club.

On Dec. 1, 1934 he married Blanche Ligenfelter in Madison County, and she survives. Also surviving are one son and three daughters, Dwight and Julie of Lincoln, Cheryl of Mountain View, Calif., Mrs. Glenn (Carolyn) Hanke of Omaha; six grandchildren; one brother, Lehr Johnson of Plainview; two sisters, Mrs. Mardelle Hess of Rosanky, Tex., and Mrs. Robert (Arlene) Murray of Norfolk.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Magdalena Vossberg Johnson, and a grandson, Scotty, age 5.

Pallbearers will be Lorin Lingenfelter, Steven Lorenz, Marvin Elwood, Bob Hanke, Duane Boswell, Saeger Miessler.

Dwight Lloyd Johnson, 81, of Lincoln, passed away April 28, 2018. Born September 28, 1936, in Osmond, to Iver and Blanche (Lingenfelter) Johnson. Dwight was a licensed real estate broker since 1961 and owned Johnson Appraisal Company from 1979-2016. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Appraisal Institute MAI, SRA. He worked for several Savings and Loans in Lincoln. He served as a deputy city tax commissioner and officiated at high school and small college football games.

Family members include his wife, Donna; sons, Randy (Jeanine) Johnson and Craig (Grace) Johnson; grandchildren, Grant (Jamie) Johnson, Megan (John) Clabaugh, and Marisa Johnson; great grandchildren, Edyn, Gage, Elijah and Gabrielle; sisters, Julie (Bill) Thomas and Carolyn Hanke; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, John (Diane) Behrens and Katherine Behrens. CORNING, Iowa -- Cheryl Narigon, 59, of Nodaway, Iowa, died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2001, at Alegent Health Mercy Hospital in Corning, Iowa.

Services are 3 p.m. Wednesday at Nodaway Methodist Church with the Rev. Erik Corley officiating. Burial will be at Nodaway Cemetery.

The family will meet friends from 6-8 p.m. today at the Pearson Coen-Beaty Family Funeral Home in Corning.

Mrs. Narigon was born Oct. 2, 1942, in Plainview to Iver and Blanche (Lingenfelter) Johnson. She graduated from Columbus High School in 1960 and received a bachelor of science degree from the University of Nebraska in 1964.

She married Donald Narigon on Nov. 27, 1976 in Omaha. She worked as a medical technician for 37 years, working in California, Illinois, Texas and also in Corning and Greenfield, Iowa. At the present time she was working at St. Joseph Hospital in Omaha. She had lived in Nodaway for 24 years.

She was a member of the church, a former member of the Corning Eastern Star and the Iowa Medical Technology Association and was serving on the Adams County Extension Council.

Survivors include her husband; her mother of Lincoln; her stepchildren, David (Susan) Narigon of Monroe, Iowa, Daniel (Carol) Narigon of Beaver Creek, Ohio, Doug (Andy) Narigon of Hurricane, Utah, and Kathy (Noel) Palmer of Novelty, Mo.; eight stepgrandchildren; one brother, Dwight (Donna) Johnson of Lincoln; and two sisters, Carolyn (Glenn) Hanke of Omaha and Julie (Bill) Thomas of Lincoln.

She was preceded in death by her father in 1973; and her mother and father-in-law, Virgil and Flossie Narigon.
