Discharged Aug. 3, 1865 on special order. Sept. 1, 1864, was appointed 4th sergeant in Co. F. of the 202d Regt. by order of commanding officer W. D. Luckenbach, 1st Lieut. and signed by Chas. Albright, Col., commanding regt. Mr. Smith was a cooper by trade.¹

Mrs. Mary W. Wild, seventy-none, 221 Race Ave., died at 5 p.m. Friday at General Hospital aft an illness of six months.

Born in Harrisburg, a daughter of the late Virginius P. and Catherine Boone Smith she was the widow of James F. Wild, who died in 1935.

She was a senior partner in the James F. Wild Auto Parts store on N. Queen Street for 25 years. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Chris, River Ready Cleaners Class of the church and was a member of a circle of the church. She was also a member of the Lancaster Business and Professional Women's Club and James Buchanan Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by a daughter, Virginia W., wife of William J. Moorhouse, Lancaster; a son, James F. Wild Jr., Lancaster; two sisters, Mrs. Sara B. Hawkins, Lancaster, and Mrs. William Leppard, Carlisle; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

She was buried in October 1962 in Greenwood Cemetery, Lancaster, Lancaster Co., PA, Findagrave #112147489.

Appendicitis Fatal to Proprietor of Auto Parts Store

James F. Wild, fifty-eight, proprietor of the Wild Auto Pars store 435-51 North Queen street, died this morning at 6 o'clock in the Lancaster General Hospital of appendicitis. Mr. Wild became ill late Saturday.

He was born February 9, 1877, in Richmond, Province of Quebec, Canada, and resided in Lancaster for the past 23 years, prior to which he was a residence of Morgantown, W. Va. where he was employed for a number of years by the Standard Oil Company.

Mr. Wild was a member of St. Paul's Reformed church, and fraternally was a member of Lodge No. 43, F. and A.M. and the Tall Cedars of Lebanon. He was a 32nd degree Mason. He conducted an auto parts business in Lancaster and Reading for a number of years.

He is survived by his wife, who was Mary W. Smith, of Lancaster, before marriage; a daughter, Mary Virginia, wife of William J. Moorehouse, of Reading, and a son, James F. Jr. at home. Two brothers, William of Lancaster and Robert of Plainfield, Vermont, and a sister, Mrs. Irwin W. Hewer, of Vancouver, B.C., also survive.

Funeral services will be held from the late home, 907 McGrann Boulevard, on Friday morning at 10:30 o'clock. Interment will be in Greenwood cemetery. Friends may call at the home Thursday evening between 7 and 9 o'clock.

He was buried in December 1935 in Greenwood Cemetery, Lancaster, Lancaster Co., PA, Findagrave #112147580.

James F. Wild Jr., 77, of 468 Saw Mill Road, New Providence, died Wednesday at the Community Hospital of Lancaster after a lengthy illness.

He lived at Quarryville Presbyterian Home for the past five years.

He was the husband of Constance L. Longenecker Wild. They celebrated 56 years of marriage on June 27.

Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the alte James F. and Mary W. Smith Wild.

A lifelong resident of Lancaster County, he retired in 1977 after more than 50 years as owner and president of James F. Wild Inc., an auto parts distributor in the county. The business was established by Wild's father in 1911.

An avid reader and hunter, he was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge 134, and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 299.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, James F. III and David S., both of New Providence; a daughter, Beverly Ann Bauer of Lancaster; a sister, Virginia, wife of William J. Moorhouse of Lancaster; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was buried in January 1993 in Greenwood Cemetery, Lancaster, Lancaster Co., PA, Findagrave #112147361.
