Harry Brott Funeral Thursday, Graveside Service in Lusk
Funeral service for Harry William Brott was held Thursday at Zobels Mortuary in Craig, Colo., with Rev. Mervin Johnson officiating. Organist, Ruth Johnson, accompanied J. W. Castine as he sang "In the Garden" and "Beyond the Sunset." Interment was held on Friday at 4:00 p.m. at the Lusk Cemetery.
Mr. Brott was killed in an auto accident about 5:40 a.m. June 12, about 29 miles north of Craig when he was thrown from his 1961 Pontiac, which was traveling northbound on Colorado No. 13 when the vehicle went off the road to the right, traveled 411 feet through the barrow pit and then crossed back over the highway and rolled 1 1/2 times. He was thrown from the car when it rolled. He was dead on arrival at the hospital having received severe head injuries. There were no passengers with him as had been earlier reported.
Harry William Brott was born February 20, 1944, in Lusk the eldest son of Judson and Lillian Munsinger Brott. He received his education in Lance Creek and Lusk and worked in the oil fields for several years, which he was doing yet at the time of his death.
He is survived by his wife, Claudette; two daughters, Tina and Toni; one son, Paul, all of the family home at Craig; two sisters, Mrs. Rex (Francis) Bell and Bonnie Brott of Cotter, Ark.; nine brothers, Jake of Sioux City, Iowa; Frank of Newcastle, Ed and Sam of Lance Creek, David, Rusty and Bobby of Gillette and Tom and Randy of Cotter, Ark. His maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Munsinger of Modesto, Calif. and his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Brott of Iowa Park, Texas.
All of the brothers and sisters were here for the service as were Mr. and Mrs. Harry Brott of Iowa Park, Texas; Rufus Brott, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Brott of Torrington, Kenneth Pavalacky of Guernsey and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Bosco.

David Lee Brott
Word was received here late Saturday afternoon that David Brott, 27, of Gillette had been killed in an auto accident near Gillette. Reports were that it was an auto-truck collision but this has not been verified here. His wife Mary was with him at the time of the accident and has since been released from the hospital.
Funeral service was being held Wednesday in Gillette with graveside service to be at the Lusk Cemetery at 3:00 this Thursday. Friends may call at the Peet Chapel Wednesday evening from 7 to 8:00 or Thursday morning.
David Lee Brott was born to Judson and Lillie Munsinger Brott on November 20, 1946. He was reared to young manhood on the family ranch south of Lance Creek. He attended grade school in Lance Creek and Niobrara County High School. He joined the U. S. Army following graduation and served a year in Vietnam. He was united in marriage to Mary Morrow on December 14, 1970, at Eniston (s/b Anniston), Ala., and they later moved to Gillette where he was a roughneck. At the time of his death he was employed by the Wyo-Dak coal mine.
Survivors include his wife, Mary and three children of the family home; seven brothers, Rusty and Bobby Brott, who were making their home with their brother and family in Gillette; Sam of Lance Creek, Jake of Sioux City, Iowa; Frank of Newcastle; Tom and Randy and Eddie who live with their sisters, Mrs. Rex (Francis) Bell and Bonnie Brott in Arkansas.
His parents and three brothers died previously. His mother and one brother, Harry Bill were both killed earlier this year in separate auto accidents.
