Obituary:

Obituary - Hoover. Jonas, youngest son of Jonas and Rozilla Hoover, was born Dec 26th 1875, and died Sept. 28, 1901, aged 25 years, 9 months and 2 days. He was united in marriage to Mary Ellen Geen, Oct . 15, 1897. To this union were born three children, one son and two daughters . Besides these the deceased leaves an aged father and mother, two brothers, two sistes and numerous other relatives and friend to mourn their loss. He was a kind and loving husband, a tender and affectionate father, was ever ready to accommodate those around him, and was always ready to do a kind act or repay a kindness done to him. During his serious illness he was patient and enduring, willing to take the medicine and anything he could take without a murmur or complaint, and after the fever left him was seemingly hopeful, and when spoken to by those coming in would smile and speak to them and say good bye when they went away. He is now gone and can never say good bye any more.

Lawrence Hoover, age 79, of Circleville, Friday at Berger Hospital. Survived by wife, Ethel LeFever Hoover; sons Donald of Columbus and Jonas of Carroll; daughters Mrs. James (Dorothy) Thompson and Mrs. Dale (Helen) Swackhammer of Circleville, Mrs. Donald (Martha) Ensign, Spencer; 21 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mrs. Florence Hane, Columbus, Mrs. Ada Johnson, Mt. Sterling, 1 half brother, Lewis Adkins, Ashville. Son, Harold and 1 great grandchild preceded him in death. Member of Bloomfield Methodist Church, Scioto Valley Grange, Pickaway county Senior Citizens. Funeral services will be Tuesday 2 :30 p.m. at the Wellman Funeral Home, 1455 North Court Street, Circleville. Interment in the Harrison Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.

Florence Hane, age 78, of 3309 Columbus Ct., formerly of 362 Frankfort St., Sunday at Mt. Carmel Hospital East. Preceded in death by husband, Nelson B. Hane; 5 sons, 1 daughter and brother Lawrence Hoover. Survived by daughters Norma G. Grove, Mary L. Starr, Wilma F. Baldish, all of Columbus; son Robert L. Hane, Belflower, Calf.; 29 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren; 4 adopted great-grandchildren; sister Ada Johnson, Mt. Sterling; half brother Louis Adkins. Friends may call Monday 7-9 p.m. Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m . Evans Funeral Home, 4171 E. Livingston Avenue where service will be Wednesd ay, 2 p.m. Interment Fox Cemetery.

Ada worked at Children's Hospital when she was 18 and 19 years of age, as a nurse's aid. Children's Hospital at that time was located at the southeast corner of Franklin Park South and Miller Avenue, Columbus, Ohio. She and Edith Wolford roomed together at the corner of Oak and Miller Avenues.

Mrs. Hannah E. Green - Services for Mrs. Green, 74, 112 N. Harris Ave. will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Spears funeral home where friends may call. She died Thursday in Mt. Carmel Hospital. A charter member of Burgess Ave. EUB Church, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Sylvia Neal and Mrs. Marie McCann, both of Columbus; three sons, Virgil, Columbus, Percy, Albany, Cal ., and Robert, Oswego, Ore.; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandcildren. Burial in Sunset Cemetery.

Survived by wife of 63 years, Helen L. Green, Sun Cit y, Ariz., son and daughter-in-law, David R. and Patricia (Manus) Green of Scottsdale, Ariz.; daughter and son-in-law Shirley and Walter Wirth of Fontana, Calf.; 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren.
