James Junior Whitefield, Oklahoma City resident, passed away Friday, April 17, 2015 at Hospice Quality Care at the age of 84. James was born November 8, 1930 in Haywood, Oklahoma to James Marshall and Barbara Ann (Keller) Whitefield. James married Lora (Windle) on February 2, 1950 in McAlester, Oklahoma. He was a commercial carpenter for many years. James loved to fish, going to senior citizen dances and especially loved taking care of his family. James was preceded in death by his wife, Lora on July 1, 1991; an infant daughter, Nora Francis and one brother, Joe Whitefield. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Haywood Baptist Church in Haywood, Oklahoma with Pastor Clarence Brinkley officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of OK Cremation and Funeral Home, Oklahoma City.
He was buried in April 2015 in Arpelar Cemetery, Arpelar, Pittsburg Co., OK, Findagrave #106461036.

Born in Non, Oklahoma, he was the son of Harrison Simpson and Cynthia Bell (Hughes) Youngblood. He married Bessie Wright on Oct. 23, 1952, in Wichita, Kan. She preceded him in death on Oct. 18, 1984. He married Cora Windle Stephens on April 28, 1985, in Haywood. He retired from the Army Ammunition Plant after 30 years as a boiler inspector. He lived in the McAlester area all of his life. He built airplanes and gardened. He was a resident of McAlester and died in a Tulsa hospital at the age of 72. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Bessie Youngblood; infant son, Larry Youngblood and a sister, Evalee Linton.
He was buried on 1 May 2003 in Centrahoma Cemetery, Centrahoma, Coal Co., OK, Findagrave #21741485.
