Ethel C. Garey, age 91 of Cincinnati, formerly of Miamisburg, passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at St. Margaret Hall, Cincinnati. She was born February 8, 1919 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Walter and Anna (Martin) Gebhart.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Louis Gebhart. She is survived by her daughters, Carol A. (Ronald) Beckett of Petersburg, Alaska and Diane L. (Ben) Zella of Oregonia, OH; grandchildren, Karen (Jesse) O'Connor, Kirsten (Robert) Simpson, Kathleen (Lee) Gilpin, Lynn (Will) Grays and James (Rachel) Adams II; great grandchildren, Eireann, Liam, Elizabeth, Madelyn and Hannah; brother, Raymond (Charlotte) Gebhart of Miamisburg, niece Beverly (Rick) Campbell and nephew, Michael Gebhart. Ethel was United Methodist by faith and retired from Dayton Press, publishing company after almost 25 years of employment as an accounting clerk. She held a membership with the Miamisburg Order of the Eastern Star and loved to do needlework in her leisure. She was also blessed to live her dream by moving to Florida after retirement and establishing her last home in Ellenton, FL.
Cremation services are private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Margaret Hall at 1960 Madison Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45207 in Memory of Ethel.
