Lima Native, Here For Funeral Of Mother, Dies

Cyril J. Shappell, 57, La Grange Park, Ill., died at 7 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Hospital following a cerebral hemorrhage.

Mr. Shappell was in Lima to attend the funeral of his mother, Mrs. Clara Shappell (sic), who died Monday in Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay.

He was born Jan. 6, 1903, in Lima and was graduated from Lima High School in 1921 and from Ohio Northern University in 1925.

He is survived by his widow Anna; a daughter, Mrs. Donna Ells, Chicago; a sister, Mrs. Donna Adler, Melrose, Mass., and a grandchild.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Siferd West Chapel, the Rev. Paul Graeser officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
