"HAMPTON
Mabel Eisele Hampton, born in Bennet, Nebraska on May 25, 1914, passed away July 1, 1999. She was a 1936 graduate of the University of Nebraska. Subsequent to her 1944 enlistment with the United States Army, she became the first commissioned regular army occupational therapist. Ultimately achieving the rank of Major, her military career included both domestic and European postings until her retirement in 1964. A thirty three-year resident of El Paso, she was recognized as one of America's most prominent breeders of champion Dachshunds, earning numerous national and international awards and championships. She was a member and benefactor of numerous local organizations. Preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Col. Wade F. Hampton, she leaves behind many relatives and friends and will be missed by all of those people whose life she touched. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 7, 1999, from 3:00 to 9:00P.M. at Kaster-Maxon Futrell Funeral Home. Services will be held on Thursday, July 8, 1999 at 1:00P.M. at Fort Bliss Center Chapel #1 followed by internment in Fort Bliss National Cemetery."

Viola Mae Faulhaber was born at Brownlee, Nebr., December 18, 1917, and passed away on July 4, 1943, at the age of 25 years, 5 months and 18 days. On May 23, 1936, she was united in marriage to James Brown of Greenwood. To this union were born three children, Deloris, Jimmie and Jerry. She was a member of the Dorcas society of Greenwood Christian church and a member of the Congregational church at Thedford.
She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, James Brown, three thildren, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Faulhaber, three sisters, Ila, Dola and Phyllis all of Scotts Bluff and Staff Sgt. Orlin Faulhaber of California. A grandfather, Henry Faulhaber of Scotts Bluff; two grandmothers, Mrs. Celia Faulhaber of California and Mrs. Max Wendler of Valentine Nebraska. Her mother-in-law and five sister-in-laws and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held July 7 at the Greenwood Christian church, conducted by Rev. C. A. Park. Music was furnished by Mrs. Florence Armstrong, Mrs. Robt. Burks, Mrs. Roy Comstock, Mrs. W. Boucher and Mrs. C. Martin with Elizabeth Martin at the piano. Pall bearers were Wayne Wright, Henry Wright, Aaron Wright, Warren Ellyson, Jim Hraban and Bill Leesley. Burial in Greenwood cemetery.
