She was married Dec. 1, 1887 to Philip F. Faulhaber, who died Aug. 13, 1936. Five children, one of whom died in infancy, were born to the couple.
Surviving are one son, Fred L. Faulhaber of Walton; three daughters, Mrs. Clara E. Eisele of Bennet, Mrs Catherine Smith and Mrs. Elsie A. Doxtater, both of Walton; eight grandchildren, five greatgrandchildren and one brother, Jacob W. Herter of Walton."

"Fred Lewis Faulhaber was the son of Philip and Catherine Faulhaber. He was born Sept. 14, 1893 and lived all his life in the Walton area. He and his sisters attended school at District 24, a little one room school a couple of miles from where they lived.
Fred was united in marriage with Sadie A. Lipe, a close girlfriend of his sister Elsie. They were married on March 7, 1917 at Grace Lutheran Church in Walton, Ne. They were the first couple to be married in the new church. The newlyweds moved to a farm where they lived their entie married life of 61 years. To this couple was born six children, three boys and three girls, all of which attended school at District 24. When Fred retired from farming, the couple enjoyed visiting their children in other states.
Fred passed away on Dec. 14, 1974. Along with his children he had 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. His wife, Sadie, remained on the farm until she passed away on May 12, 1980."

He was united in marriage to Miss Sadie Lipe on March 1, 1917 at Grace Lutheran Church in Walton. They were the first couple to be married in that church. As newlyweds they moved to their farm where they spent their entire married life. Mr. Faulhaber passed away on Saturday, December 14, at the age of 81 years of age, a retired farmer. His survivors include: wife Sadie, sons Melvin of Fort Hall, Idaho, Roy of Orange, California, Philip of Lennox, California, daughters Mrs. Virginia Sutter of Lincoln, Miss Darleen Faulhaber of Walton, Mrs. Shirley Selk of Naperville, Illinois, sisters, Mrs. Elsie Malmsten of Desert Hot Springs, California, 13 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren."

"Carl & Ada made their home on a farm near Walton, NE. To this union four children were born. (Carl Albert, Earl Alex, twins, Lawrence Carl, & Ruby Hattie Christine) When Carl Albert died in 1908 he was buried in the Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery at Walton, NE. The family then moved to Plankington, So. Dakota in the spring of 1909 where Earl Alex passed away on April 4, 1909 and was buried at Wessington Springs, So. Dakota.
Carl's brother Alex and wife Christina also moved to So. Dakota at the same time, settling near by. A cousin William Faulhaber and wife Anna also moved to So. Dakota living about three miles away.
Carl purchased 149.36 - 100 acres of the SouthWest quarter of Section Nineteen, Township One Hundred Five, North of Range Sixty-four, West of the Fifth Principal Meridian in Plankington, Aurora County. They continued to farm until moving back to Walton, Ne. sometime around 1920, renting the farm out in So. Dakota. They later moved back to So. Dakota as the renters were not taking care of the farm and crops." (J. Kayser has Carl Alex rather than Carl Albert. Baptism and Draft Registration both have Carl Albert.)

"Pioneer Resident Called By Death
Another pioneer resident of the Panama vicinity passed to her reward last Friday when Mrs. T. R. Faulhaber was called to rest. She had resided in southeast Lancaster county for nearly half a century and was well known throught this community. Mary Etta Barr was born in Massieville, O., on April 5, 1866, and passed away at Adams, Neb., on October 29, 1937, aged 71 years, 6 months and 24 days. At the age of 16, she came with her parents to Nebraska, settling on a farm east of Lincoln. Early in life she was united with the Methodist church at Massieville, later transferring to the Presbyterian church at Adams. On March 26, 1883, she was united in marriage to Theodore Faulhaber. To this union six sons and three daughters were born. She was a resident of Nebraska for fifty-five years, nine years being spent on their homestead in Cherry County, where they endured many hardships. Later they moved back near her old home at Lincoln and in the year 1908 they moved to Adams. She leaves to mourn her death nine children: George of Panama, Albert of Lincoln, Lewis of Adams, Arthur of Walton, Myrtle Kayser of Lincoln, Helen Pfau of Holyoke, Colo., Willie of Adams, Carrie Terpsma of Adams and Harry of Omaha, twenty-one grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. A. C. Branch of Silman, Okla., and a host of other relatives and friends. Her husband passed away several years ago. Funeral services were conducted from the Adams Presbyterian church Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, Rev. T. R. Hollingsworth of Lincoln, pastor of the church, officiating. Burial was made in the Adams cemetery."
She was buried on 31 October 1937 in Highland Cemetery, Adams, Gage Co., NE.

"Albert was born near Walton on a farm and when he was about 1 1/2 yrs. old, his folks moved to Johnston, Ne., living in that vicinity around 10 years. Moving back to a farm 1 mile south and 2 1/4 miles east of Walton. Then in 1906 and 1907 Albert went out to the Sandhills near Wood Lake, Ne. to the Dave Hannah ranch to work. In 1908 Albert's folks bought a farm 2 1/4 miles north of Adams, Ne. building a house, barn and other small buildings.
Emma Marie Schultz was born on a farm 2 miles south and 1/4 mile east of Walton living there until she was married.
Albert Faulhaber & Emma Schultz were married on March 16, 1910. The first farm home was 3 miles south, 1 mile east and 1/4 mile south of Walton, Ne. Here they lived for two years. Then rented a farm 1/2 mile west and 2 1/4 miles south of Walton. Here their first daughter was born, Irene Josephine on Nov. 28, 1913 and passed away Oct. 22, 1916 with diptheria. She was laid to rest in the Schultz Family Cemetery, south of Walton.
On Sept. 23, 1917 their second daughter, Ila Loraine was born."

Albert W. Faulhaber, 66, of Rt. 8, Lincoln, died Monday evening at a Lincoln hospital.
Born Sept. 11, 1885, at Walton, Mr. Faulhaber farmed near Walton nearly all his life. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church at Walton. Surviving are his wife, Emma N.; a daughter, Mrs. Ila Stahl of Lincoln; three sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Kayser and Mrs. Carrie Terpsma, both of Lincoln, and Mrs. Helen Pfau of Holyoke, Colo.; four brothers, George of Lincoln, Arthur of Green, Kan., William of Adams, and Harry of Omaha; and two grandchildren.
He was buried on 3 April 1952 in Evangelical Cemetery (Schultz Cemetery), Walton, Lancaster Co., NE.

Lewis Walter Faulhaber, son of Theodore and Mary Etta Faulhaber, was born at Johnstown, Neb., Sept 15, 1887 and died at his home in Adams, Feb. 22, 1944, at the age of 56. He moved with his parents to Walton when he was eight years old. In 1908 the family moved to Adams, where he resided since. On March 4, 1914, he was married to Dessie Cook who survive him. Notes from "Faulhaber Family History" 1986-87, by Mrs. Harold (Junerose) Kayser:
"Herman and Myrtle were married Aug 2, 1910 at her parents home three miles north of Adams. At the time of their wedding, Herman was farming on his own and they made their home three miles south and three and one-half miles east of Walton, Ne. After their son was born in 1913 they moved to a farm four miles south and three-fourths of a mile east of Walton, where their daughter was born.
They lived here until 1919 when they bought the Kayser Home Place three miles south and three miles east of Walton where Herman was raised. In 1931 they moved to College View and Herman worked as an engineer at the Roberts Cheese Factory until his retirement. Herman died July 28, 1968 and was laid to rest in the Church Cemetery at Trinity Lutheran Church of Walton.
Myrtle still lives alone in College View with her daughter and son near by. She will be 95 years old this January, 1987."

She was united in marriage to Charles H. Faulhaber in 1890. To this union five children were born. She is survived by two brothers, Victor and Leon Martin of Lemore, Calif.; and two sisters, Celia
Faulhaber of California and Bertha Stillwell of Valentine, Nebr; one daughter, Mrs. Dudley McDonald of Paradise, Montana; three sons, Carl of Brownlee, Nebraska; Forrest and Ervie of Santa Cruz, Calif;

She was preceded in death by a son, Roy; and her husband, Charles. She had two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Faulhaber was a pioneer resident of the Brownlee community, having come there with her parents in 1886 and resided there until the last three and a half years which she spent in Valentine at
the hospital and a nursing home.
She was buried on 9 January 1958 in Brownlee Cemetery, Brownlee, Cherry Co., NE.
