Rebecka Jane Milligan was born on 31 July 1872 in Clay Co., IN, Family tradition had her birth year 1877; however, 1880 census (June) shows age 6, and younger brother Joseph, age 2 (born 1878), makes 1877 seem improbable. Moreover, her marriage in October, 1890 done by a J.P. means she must have been at least 16 years of age. 1900 census shows July 1872, which seems likely to be correct. DLB 2011.1 She married John D. Green, son of Nathaniel Green and Charlotte, on 14 October 1890 in Brazil, Clay Co., IN, Ceremony by George R. Schultz, J.P. Rebecka Jane Milligan married Dennis Bontrager about 1914. She died on 18 October 1943.

Rebecka Jane Milligan was also known as "Jennie" Milligan.
