Irene was the daughter of the late Nathaniel and Sarah (Beardmore) Moore.

She was an accomplished seamstress and quilter. She found great joy in her stitchery, both for herself and for others. She was a member of the East Main St. Church of Christ, Barnesville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl E. Finley; second husband, George A. Foutty; sisters, Geraldine Brown, Margaret Kratz, and Violet Wood; brother, James Moore.

Her memory is cherished by her daughter, Ruth; two granddaughters; four great grandchildren; sister, Gwendolyn.

She was buried in October 2017 in Crestview Cemetery, Barnesville, Belmont Co., OH, Findagrave #184440011.

Funeral services for Irene Sarah (Finley) Priest, 78, of Newark are 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Newark Chapel of Henderson, Van Atta & Johnston. Burial will follow in Newark Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Priest, a member of the Southgate Church of Christ, died May 7, 1997, at her home. She was born Aug. 10, 1918, in Neffs, to the late Ross Albert and Zona Naomi (Rowand) Finley.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Ross and Dawn Schworm of Newark, and Gary and Linda Schworm of Midland, Mich.; one daughter and son-in-law, Zona and Tom Mauller of Newark; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Myles and Lettie Finley of North Canton, and Irene Finley of Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three husbands, Clarke E. Schworm, Art Miller and Willard Priest; two brothers; one sister; and a great-granddaughter.

Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, 50 N. Fifth St.

She was buried in May 1997 in Newark Memorial Gardens, Newark, Licking Co., OH.

Myles O. Finley

Myles O. Finley, age 81, of North Canton, passed away Friday evening in St. Luke's Lutheran Home following an extended illness.

He was born November 18, 1924 in Plymouth, Ohio, son to the late Ross and Zona (Round) (sic) Finley. Myles was employed as a superintendent at the N&W Railroad, retiring in 1985 following 43 years of service. Myles had proudly served our country i the United States Airforce (sic) during World War II, he was a member of North Canton Church of Christ where he also served as an Elder. His lifelong hobby was raising strawberries.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Lettie (McCabe) Finley of North Canton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn and Lee Willmore, Maxine and Norm Hostetler all of North Canton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gene and Sue Finley of Atlanta, Ga., Dale and Carla Finley of Nashville, Tenn. There are eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren also surviving.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Reed Funeral Home North Canton Chapel, 801 Pittsburg Ave. N.E., North Canton, with Minister Ted Blackwood officiating. Interment will be in North Canton Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Monday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home as well as one hour prior to the services on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to North Canton Church of Christ Orphanage.

He was buried in June 2006 in North Canton Cemetery, North Canton, Stark Co., OH, Findagrave #19844918.
