Note: There were two Sarah Wendells born in 1860-61 in Noble and/or Guernsey County, Ohio. One of them, Sarah C. Wendell born in SEP 1860, married Charles Stillion as per an 1886 record in Guernsey County, although their daughter Anna who appears with them in the 1900 census was born in 1880. (Anna's father may not have been Charles Stillion.) Sarah Elizabeth Wendell born in JUL 1861, who in adulthood appears to have used Elizabeth as her daily name, married John A. Eagon in 1887 in Noble County. I believe that she was the daughter of John and Rebecca (Hart) Wendell, because the "E" middle initial appears in the 1870 census listing when she and two of her sisters were living with the Isaac Warehime family, and again in the 1880 census when she was in Wayne Twp. of Noble County, living with the C. W. Long family. If I am correct that Sarah E. Wendell was John Wendell's daughter, then I cannot account for the parents of Sarah C. Wendell at this time as both of these individuals are not found in either the 1870 or 1880 censuses. DLB 2017.
