ARLA V. ROBERTS, 85, Beatrice, died Friday evening, July 9, 2004, at the Sunrise Country Manor in Milford. She was born March 2, 1919, at Beatrice where she spent her childhood, and was a 1937 graduate of Beatrice High School.
She married Donald N. Roberts on August 26, 1944, at Marysville, Kansas. They lived at Liberty until his death in 1956 at which time she returned to Beatrice. She moved to Milford in 2002. She had been employed in the food service department at the Beatrice State Developmental Center from 1970 until her retirement in 1985. She was also a caregiver for her mother, her two sisters and a brother. She was a member of the Westside Baptist Church and had been a Sunday School teacher as well as a Cub Scout leader. Her hobbies included baking and playing bingo.
Survivors: son, Dennis Roberts and wife Linda of Dorchester; a grandson, Caleb Roberts and special friend, Jessica Volkmer of Beaver Crossing; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Gertrude (Workman) Larimore; her husband, Donald N. Roberts (March 14, 1956); brothers, Vern, Glenn and Faye Larimore; sisters, Doris Barnts and Norma Larimore.
She was buried in July 2004 in Liberty Cemetery, Liberty, Gage Co., NE, Findagrave #38641919.

ROBERTS OF LIBERTY PASSED AWAY
Donald N. Roberts was born in Liberty, Nebr., and passed away in Lincoln, Nebr. He was a sign painter by trade. He was a veteran of World War II, a Charter Member of the Liberty Lions Club, a member of Liberty Post 346, American Legion and Mayor of Liberty at the time of his death.
He is survived by his wife, Arla and one son, Dennis at home; by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Nathaniel Roberts; one brother Keith and one sister, Mrs. Evelyn Moore, all of Liberty.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 17 at the Liberty Christian Church, Rev. Dan Brossman officiating. Burial was in the Liberty cemetery. Liberty Post 346, American Legion conducted military services at the grave.
Pallbearers were jack Ruyle, George Moore, James Hardin, Leo Balcer, Glen Fisher and Carl Havick. Laughlin Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.

He served his country from 1944 to 1946 in the United States Navy and was a Aerial Gunner. After the service he moved to Hawthorne, California and began his career in Aerospace and worked for 28 years in Hawthorne and Palm Dale, CA. He supervised different stages of the Apollo Rockets. He married Patricia Cofield on May 6, 1944 . He retired May 31, 1974 and moved to Rockford, NE. He moved into the old Rockford School House and remodeled it. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and taking care of his home. They moved to San Marcos, CA in 1984.

Harold was born on August 18, 1929 in Beatrice, Nebraska to John and Milesey (Larimore) Corey.
He graduated from Beatrice High School in 1947.
He served his country during the Korean War in the United States Air Force from December 28, 1950 to December 6, 1954.
Harold married Carole Kassebaum on June 15, 1957 in Beatrice. They were blessed with two children.
He owned and operated Harold’s Shoe Repair then retired after 30 years at Bell’s Western Wear. Harold enjoyed fishing, hunting, collecting coins, gardening, fish frys, antique stores, flea markets, his kids and grandkids and his cat Buffy.
Harold E. Corey, 88 years of age, of Beatrice passed away with family by his side Friday, June 8, 2018 at his home.
Harold is survived by his wife, Carole; son, Doug Corey and wife Crystal; daughter, Julie Williams and husband Michael; grandchildren, Samantha Corey and husband Dray Monday, Katelynn and Dillon Corey, all of Beatrice; numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and 8 brothers and sisters.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice with Rev. David Bigley officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Home Cemetery in Beatrice. Visitation will be held from noon to 8 PM with family greeting friends from 5 to 8 PM Monday, June 11, 2018 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice. Memorials are suggested to the Humane Society.
