Kingsport-Richard "R.C." Kitzmiller, age 79, went to be with the Lord on January 28, 2013. The question is, "Where Will You Spend Eternity?" Richard was a lifelong resident of Kingsport. He was a member of Arnold's Chapel Holiness Church where he was a Sunday School Teacher. He also enjoyed baseball, reading his Bible and his family.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Martin Eldridge and Lizzie Belle Doran Kitzmiller; sisters, Shirley Sumpter, Hazel Johnson and Betty Mae Starnes. Also preceded in death by his brothers, William "Bill" Kitzmiller, Virgil "Buck" Kitzmiller, Frank Kitzmiller, Tommy Kitzmiller and Jimmy Kitzmiller.
He is survived by his loving wife, Clara (Snook) Kitzmiller of the home; sons, Rick and wife, Karen Sue Kitzmiller, Scott Kitzmiller and Tim and wife, Michelle Kitzmiller, all of Kingsport, TN; daughter, Gale and husband, Ronnie Moretz of Knoxville, TN; brother; Denver and wife, Linda Kitzmiller, of Kingsport, TN; grandchildren, April Michelle Moretz, Chad Moretz, Whitney Kitzmiller and Alex Kitzmiller; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be Friday, February 1, 2013 at Tri-Cities Memory Gardens at 11:00 am. Pallbearers will be Larry Johnson, Gary Johnson, Denny Kitzmiller, Brent Kitzmiller, Jordan Kitzmiller and Kaleb Kitzmiller. Honorary pallbearers will be Roy Brickey, Elmer Arnold, Bob Fickle and Russell Bowery.
He was buried in 2013 in East Tennessee Cemetery, Bountville, Sullivan Co., TN, Find A Grave Memorial# 107002192.
