Charles I. Fox, aged 53 years, died at 5:30 o'clock yesterday morning at St. Joseph hospital, after an illness of some 15 weeks. Death resulted from complications. Deceased, who resided at 2266 South Calhoun street, had been at the hospital about two weeks. Deceased was born at Avilla, Ind., but had resided at Fort Wayne during the last six years. He was employed in transferring the mails at the Pennsylvania station. He was a member of St. Patrick's church, of the Holy Name and Sacred Heart societies, and of the Macabees. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Amelia Fox; three daughters, and five sons. The daughters are Mrs. Alma F. McNess, of Chicago, Ill.; Mrs. Marie Fechner, of Kewana, Ind., and Miss Margaret Fox, of this city. The sons are Cletus, Everett, Aloysius and Anthony, of this city; and Joseph, who is a soldier stationed at Fort Oglethorpe, Ga. There are the following brothers and sisters: Miss Lena Fox, of Monterey, Ind.; Mrs. Anna Walker, of this city; Mrs. Emma Weigand, of this city; Mrs. Clara Shoudell of Auburn, Ind.; Mrs. Agnes Zehner of Monterey, and Henry Fox, of Plymouth, Ind. Five grandchildren also survive. Remains are at the Mungovan funeral parlors, and will be removed to the home this afternoon. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
FOX, Charles I. - Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 8:30 o'clock from the residence, 2206 Calhoun street, and at 9 o'clock from St. Patrick's Catholic church. Internment in Catholic cemetery.

His residence was at 2206 South Calhoun street. Mr. Fox was born in Avilla, Ind., and had lived in this city for the last 8 years, during which time he was employed by the Pennsylvania railroad. He was a member of the St. Patrick's Catholic church, of the Holy Name society, Sacred Heart league and the Macabees. Surviving are the wife, Mrs. Amelia Fox, and three daughters and five sons, as follows: Mrs. Alma F. Merlin Lewis, 53, Wabash R.R.1, who had been in failing health for two years, died at 3:50 p.m. Sunday in the Wabsh County Hospital.
A native of Wabash County, he was born Jan. 6, 1905 to Wilford and Ethel (Sommer) Lewis. His first marriage was to Geraldine Barnes and he later married Tessie Hawley.
The decedent was employed as a truck driver by Sposeep and Son.
Survivors include the widow, the father, one daughter, Mrs. Moyne (Leada May) Flack, Wabash; two step-sons, Robert Hawley, Peru and Richard Hawley, Wabash; four step-daughters, Mrs. Lloyd Gibson, Mrs. Ralph Daub, both of North Manchester, Mrs. Gene White, Wabash R.R.1 and Mrs. Richard Martin, Wabsh; 14 step-grandchildren and 1 great-step-grandchild.
Also surviving are one brother, Glen Lewis, Huntertown; and five sisters, Mrs. Mary Marks, Cottonwood, Ariz., Mrs. Clarence Carter, Battle Creek, Mich., Mrs. John Dyezko, South Bend, Mrs. Edward Graves Sr. and Mrs Ray Chapman, Wabash. One brother preceded him in death.
The body was taken to the Eddingfield Mortuary where funeral services will be in the chapel at 2 p.m. Wednesday. #Burial will be in Falls cemetery.
