Pauline T. Strope, 90, of Center Township (Oak Forest), Greene County, died Saturday, November 13, 2010, in the Southwest Regional Medical Center emergency room, Waynesburg.
She was born October 18, 1920, in Franklin Township (West Waynesburg), a daughter of the late John Batchley and Gail Gertrude Wendell Tharp.
Mrs. Strope had resided in Center Township most of her life.
She was a member of the former Oak Forest Methodist Church, had attended Rogersville Christian Church and had been attending First Church of the Nazarene in Waynesburg, as long as her health permitted.
Mrs. Strope was a member of Waynesburg Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4793 auxiliary, Waynesburg Senior Citizens and the Senior Bowling League, where she was an active participant with the Lollypop bowling team.
She also enjoyed jigsaw and crossword puzzles.
Mrs. Strope was a graduate of Center Township High School.
She was last employed by Berkowitz Sewing Factory and Flushing Shirt Factory for 30 years prior to her retirement.
On November 24, 1941, she married Charles Lloyd (Jake) Strope, who died March 25, 1984. Surviving are two daughters, Patricia Huff Cooper of Pikeville, N.C., and Jane, wife of Clyde Sandidge of Simpsonville, S.C.; a son, Robert L., husband of Helen Strope of Rogersville; six grandchildren, Rhonda Huff Williams, Kevin Huff, and Charles, Rob “Bubby” and twins Bill and Blake Strope; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mary Lou, wife of Clyde Bedilion of Graysville, Nellie Durbin of Center Township, Shirley, wife of Hal Justice of Stow, Ohio, and Carolyn, wife of Cy Davenport of Waynesburg (Eastview); and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Strope also leaves behind her companion and best friend for the past 20 years, Ray Davis Jr.
Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are a granddaughter, Debra Lynn Sandidge, and five brothers, Jack, Kenneth, Carl, John and Fred Tharp.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Rush Funeral Home Inc., Rogersville, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 17, with the Rev. Harry Rich officiating. Interment will follow in Rosemont Cemetery, Center Township. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society or Sara Care (Hospice).

Mary L. Bedilion, 85, of Graysville, died Saturday, May 5, 2012, in Southwest Regional Medical Center, Waynesburg.
She was born April 27, 1927, in Prosperity, daughter of the late John B. and Gail Wendell Tharp.
On February 19, 1946, she married Andrew Clyde Bedilion, who died November 9, 2011.
Mrs. Bedilion was a homemaker and had worked as a seamstress at Greenway Manufacturing and Berkowitz Manufacturing in Waynesburg. She also helped her husband manage Bedilion's Garage in Graysville.
She was a member of Unity Presbyterian Church in Graysville and the Women's Auxiliary of Graysville Volunteer Fire Company. She participated in several local bowling leagues and enjoyed playing bingo and fishing.
Surviving are five children, Glenda Griffith, William Arvin Clyde Bedilion, Patrick Andrew Bedilion and Alva Kenneth Bedilion, all of Graysville, and Eric S. Bedilion of Sycamore; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Nellie Durbin of Rogersville, Shirley Justice of Stow, Ohio, and Carolyn Davenport of Waynesburg.

Clyde Bedilion, 84, of Graysville, died Wednesday, November 9, 2011, in Golden Living Center, Waynesburg.
He was born November 7, 1927, in Old Concord, a son of the late Andrew and Iva Brownlee Bedilion.
On February 19, 1946, he married Mary Tharp, who survives.
Mr. Bedilion owned and operated Bedilion's Garage in Graysville for many years, retiring in 1989. He also worked for W.A. Wilson Stave Co. and W.A. Wilson Construction.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Bedilion served as chief of Graysville Fire Company for 23 years. He was a member of Unity Presbyterian Church in Graysville and American Legion Post 416.
He enjoyed bowling.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are five children, Glenda Griffith, William Arvin Clyde Bedilion, Patrick Andrew Bedilion and Alva Kenneth Bedilion, all of Graysville, and Eric S.
