AUBURN, CALIF. -- Iven Ezell of Auburn, Calif. formerly of Eugene, died April 21 of prostrate cancer at age 88. A memorial service was held April 25 in Auburn.
He was born April 14, 1919, in Amarillo, Texas, to Albert and Mary Stump Ezell. He married Ida Bressman 28 years age in California. He earned a masters degree in chemistry at Oregon State University and worked as a chemist and computer analyst for Tidewater Oil and for Lockheed in California.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Ingrid Jacobson of Rainier, Bridgett Wycoff of Studio City, Calif., and Amanda Ezell of Longview, Wash.; a brother, Herbert Ezell of Eugene; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday, March 25, at Buell Chapel in Springfield for Herbert Franklin Ezell of Eugene, who died March 16 of age-related causes. He was 90.
He was born March 16, 1921, in Amarillo, Texas, to Albert and Mary Stump Ezell. He married Eileen Severns on March 21, 1942, in Eugene.
He attended Santa Clara Grade School, Wilson Junior High School and Eugene High School. He graduated from the University of Oregon with a bachelor's degree in business administration. In his early years, he worked at Eugene Fruit Growers. He was an accountant during most of his career.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1942 to 1944.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Nancy Ezell of Lake Oswego and Cathy Jones of Eugene; and one grandson.
Burial will be at West Lawn Memorial Park.
Arrangements by Buell Funeral Chapel in Springfield.

She attended Lincoln School and Noraton School and graduated from Harrisburg High School. She attended Eugene Vocational School. In the 1940s, she worked at Kennell Ellis. During World War II she worked as a bucker on B-17s at Boeing in Seattle. She also worked on the Lane County Election Board.
Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Ezell of Lake Oswego and Cathy Jones of Eugene; and one grandchild.

Mary Charlene Townsley went to be with our Lord on April 19, 2007, following an operation and subsequent illness. She was born to Victor and Thelma Hottle in Oklahoma City on January 5, 1931. Charlene graduated from 'old' Classen High School, Oklahoma City in 1948. She attended Oklahoma A&M (now OSU) where she met Charles 'Bud' Townsley (Quarkertown, PA). They were married on October 1, 1949. Charlene was an active member of the Village United Methodist Church serving as UMW president, as well as being involved in Brambles and circle activities. An ardent reader, she also enjoyed arts and crafts her entire life. A cat lover her entire life, there was always one or more cats in the Townsley family. Survivors include her spouse, Charles; daughter and son-in-law, Chris and Rick Williams; son and daughter-in-law, Phil and Amy Townsley; and grandchildren, Noel and Wade Bouteller and Jacqueline Townsley. Services will be held at the Village United Methodist Church at 2 p.m., Monday April 23, 2007.

OKLAHOMA CITY--Charles F. "Bud" Townsley was born on March 21, 1926, in Reading, Pennsylvania, to Mamie (Springer) Townsley and Charles "Hun" Townsley. He moved to Quakertown in the early 1930s, where he attended school, graduating in 1943. While in high school, he was active in track and was the team Captain.
After high school, Bud registered for the draft with an incorrect birth date and was drafted in August of 1943. He served in WWII in the Philippines and was discharged in 1946.
He then moved to Stillwater, Oklahoma, to attend Oklahoma A&M (OSU), where he joined the Theta Chi fraternity. He met his future wife, Mary Charlene Hottle, during his college years. Bud graduated in 1950 with a degree in Commerce. Bud and Charlene were married October 1, 1949, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Bud was recalled to the Army during the Korean War and served in Ft. Hood, Texas, taking his wife and young daughter Chris with him. Bud received his field commission as a First Lt. at this time. At the end of the Korean War, Bud and Charlene returned to Oklahoma City, where Bud accepted a position with General Electric Credit Corp. A second child, Phillip, was born, completing their family.
Bud retired from General Electric in 1983. He continued to serve his country as a member of the 95th Reserve Division, reaching the rank of Captain and retiring from duty in 1965. Bud was very proud of the military services he provided to his country.
Bud had a passion for history, especially the Civil War. He enjoyed reading, the company of his cats, and spending time with friends. One of his beloved pastimes was drinking a beer while discussing world events with his companions. He maintained ties with his alma mater through the OSU Alumni Association.
He was preceded in death by his infant sister, Charmaine; mother, Mamie "Kitty" Johnson; his father, Hun; and his wife, Charlene. He is survived by his son, Phil; daughter and son-in-law, Chris and Rick; and three grandchildren, Wade, Noel, and Jacqueline. Service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Sunnymeade Baptist Church, with burial following at Rose Hill Burial Park.
He was buried in May 2012 in Rose Hill Burial Park, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Co., OK, Findagrave #91042145.
