Wilburn, Fred 83 years old, of State Route, Latham died at 6:20 a.m. Monday in the Pike County Hospital, where he had been a patient since Saturday. He was rushed to the hospital Saturday by the Emergency Squad.
Mr. Wilburn was a retired farmer, born on December 3, 1890 near Bourneville, a son of Moses & Alphe (Sherrow) Wilburn.
In June, 1918, he married the former Flossie Yoakum, who survives at home.
Also surviving are three daughters; 11 grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren; one brother, of Bainbridge; and two sisters.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, and one sister.
Funeral services are scheduled to be held at 2 p.m. wylie Funeral Home in Sinking Springs, with Rev. Tom Wade officiating. Burial will follow in Washburn Cemetery, near byington. Friends may call at the funeral home 2 until 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Freda Mae Satterfield, 90, of Bainbridge, Ohio died on Friday, May 24, 2019 at Adena Pike Medical Center in Waverly, Ohio.
She was born May 19, 1929 in Spargursville, Ohio, daughter of the late Fred and Flossie Yoakem Wilburn.
On August 29, 1946 she was united in marriage to John Satterfield who preceded her in death on December 27, 2010.
Surviving are two sons, Randy Satterfield and wife Katie of Latham, Ohio and Rick Satterfield and wife Crystal of Bethel, Ohio; daughter, Phyllis Anderson and husband Mike of Chillicothe, Ohio; daughter in law, Vicki Satterfield of Bainbridge; 8 grandchildren, Aaron Satterfield and wife Amanda, Adam Satterfield and wife Bethany, Jeremy Satterfield and wife Jennifer, Ryan Satterfield and wife Chelsea, Rebecca Ross and husband Robbie, Gavin Anderson and wife Brittany, Charles Satterfield and Donna Satterfield and 18 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Freda was preceded in death by a son, Steve Satterfield and two sisters, Blanche Husted and Bessie Nace.
Freda was a member of Morgantown Church of Christ in Christian Union and enjoyed cooking and gardening.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home with Rev. Aaron Satterfield and Rev. Adam Satterfield officiating.
Burial will follow in Washburn Cemetery.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

John Satterfield passed away December 27, 2010 at Pleasant Hill manor in Piketon, OH at age 82. He was born on January 21, 1928 in Spicey Hollow near Latham to Alta Ray and Sarah Ellen Blackburn Satterfield. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his 4 siblings, Jesse Satterfield, Hazel Woods, Everett Satterfield, and Retha Taylor. He went to school on Beavers Ridge in a one room schoolhouse for grades 1-4, and then went to Latham for grades 5-8. He was needed at home to work so he didn't go past the 8th grade. He entered the U.S. Army in Columbus, OH on April 29, 1946, where he served as a corporal. He performed his stateside duties at Camp Atterbury, IN and Fork Knox, KY. He then served in Manilla, Phillippines in the 86th Blackhawk Division. During a furlough, he married Freda Wilburn on August 29th 1946 in Greenup, KY. He returned home from the Army on May 10, 1947. He worked from 1954 to 1990 in bridge construction in Ohio and West Virginia, mostly for the Mosser Company. For a better part of his career, he was superintendant on the job. In his retirement years, John liked working on tractors, building items in his woodshop, teaching his grandsons some of his carpentry skills, and compiling a photo album of ancestors and relatives. He was known throughout the community for his honesty, fairness, and humor. In 2003, he accepted Christ Jesus as his Savior. His chief joys were his faith, family, and friends. Left to carry on his legacy are his wife, Freda; their 4 children; 8 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, December 30, 2010 at the Botkin Funeral Home in Waverly, with Pastors Aaron Satterfield and James McCain officiating. Burial will follow in the Washburn Cemetery near Byington, Ohio with military graveside services conducted by American Legion-Merritt Post #142 of Waverly. Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday and after 9:00 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home.

Beatrice Mae McFadzen was born on July 27, 1907, near Plover. She was the daughter of Harry and Janet (Henderson) McFadzen. Bea was educated in Plover area schools, graduating from Plover High School in 1925. She received her teaching diploma from Iowa State Teachers College, at Cedar Falls, in 1928. Bea taught school in Palo Alto, Pocahontas, Humboldt, Plymouth, and Calhoun counties. She retired from D.M.T.school near Rolfe in 1957.
Bea married Glenn Lent on December 31, 1944, at Plover. The couple made their home on their farm south of Plover. Glenn died on October 16, 1982, and Bea continued to make her home on the farm until September of 1993, when she entered the Pocahontas Manor.
Bea was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Pocahontas, and a local writers club. She enjoyed writing poetry, was an avid doll collector and was her family's genealogist.
Survivors include her niece: Janet (Gerald) McFadzen Fain of Mt. Pleasant; nephew: James (Elisabeth) McFadzen of New York Mills, MN and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Bea was preceded in death by her parents, husband,Glen, brothers, James McFadzen and Charles McFadzen and sister, Mary McFadzen.
She was buried in August 1998 in Powhatan Cemetery, Plover, Pocahontas Co., IA, Findagrave #33600013.

Died: At his residence, 1/2 mile north of Glasco, Sunday morning, 11 o'clock February 23, 1896, Aaron Hudson Spaulding, aged 52 years, 4 months and 4 days. Mr. Spaulding was born in Belmont county, Ohio in 1843. He had six brothers and five sisters, children of William and Mary Spaulding, all of whom lived to be grown. Of the brothers known here are Henry H., almost the first resident of Glasco, but now living in Salem, Oregon, and Joseph, a wealthy farmer near Wamego, who was present at the funeral.
The deceased came to Glasco in 1865, homesteading the Wm. Thompson farm on Fisher Creek. During this time he worked on the extension of the Union Pacific R.R. west from Junction City. Later he engaged in general merchandise with J.M. Copeland and A.F. Bullock.
Mr. S. was married to Caroline E. Copeland, April 14, 1872. Five children were born to them, the eldest, a son, died in infancy, the others, Maud, Elmer, Franklin and George are at home.
Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church by Revs. Bushnel and McKay. The I.O.O.F. of which society he was a member at Concordia, conducted the rites from the church to the interment at the cemetery.
He was buried in February 1896 in Glasco Cemetery, Glasco, Cloud Co., KS, Findagrave #77801674.
