FIELDING AND SARAH UTTERBACK
Fielding Utterback was the oldest of sixteen children, born to Benjamin Utterback (1784-1848) and Matilda Hanks (1788-1863). Fielding was born on 23 November 1809 in Woodford County, Kentucky. He was named for a very close friend of his father's Etherington Fielding of Woodford County, Kentucky. Fielding lived for some time in Boone County, Indiana, and this is where he married Sarah Terhune on 27 Oct 1833. Sarah was born 10 August 1814. Fielding and Sarah had nine children: Minerva Utterback (Boyd), born 19 January 1835; William Edward Utterback, born 1836; Martha Utterback (Williams), born 1838; Ellen Utterback, born 1840, died young; Addison Utterback, born 1843; Emaline Utterback (Rains), born 1845; Mary Adelaide Utterback, born 1847, died young; Oscar T. Utterback, born 1849; and Albert Utterback, born 1854, died young.After a brief stay in Story County, Iowa, Fielding brought his family to Mills County in 1856. He farmed until 1871, at which time he purchased a lumber business in the Hillsdale community. Fielding died 31 July 1881, and Sarah passed away 21 April 1896. They are both buried at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Rawles Township of Mills County.
He was buried in August 1881 in Estes Cemetery, Tabor, Mills Co., IA, Findagrave #57482246.

After Benjamin's death his widow Matilda moved to Mills County, Iowa with her son Fielding and his family.

Nicholas moved with his parents to Northumberland County, Pennsylvania where he married his first wife, Mary Elder. After a few years Nicholas and Mary moved first to Ross County, Ohio and later to Franklin County, Ohio. During the War of 1812 Nicholas served as a private in the Indiana Volunteers. They again moved, this time to Jackson County, Ohio which is where Mary Elder-Anthony died in 1848.
Nicholas remarried the widow Mary Eldridge-Davis in 1843. Nicholas sold the farm in Jackson County, Ohio and moved with his second wife Mary, several of her children, and his own children, to Cedar County, Missouri.
In 1850 Nicholas again moved, this time to Mills County, Iowa. About 1855 Mary died and was buried near the old Linville farm. Nicholas marries for the third time in 1856 to Matilda Hanks-Utterback. Matilda and Nicholas both died in 1863. Nicholas was laid to rest next to his second wife Mary Eldridge-Davis near the old Linville farm. Due to erosion, Nicholas and Mary were disinterred and moved to Malvern Cemetery.
He was buried in June 1864 in Malvern Cemetery, Malvern, Mills Co., IA.
Nicholas Anthony began military service War of 1812 service.

Darlene Lee Eaton, 81 of Hayward, California, passed away peacefully at home on September 19, 2019. She was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1938 and moved to California in 1963. She is preceded in death by her parents Leland and Dorothy Granger, brother Jerry Granger, and husband Francis Eaton. She was a loving mother to her children, Dawn Ehret (Joe), Denise Passama (Jay), Darrin Eaton (Erin), and Danny Eaton (Jayde) and grandmother to seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one on the way. She was a good friend to many people. Her sense of humor and love will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 6, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. at Chapel of the Chimes Cemetery in Hayward.

Passengers safe In Bus Collision
Six passengers and a driver escaped serious injuries but a Burlington Trailways bus was badly damaged in a collision four miles west of Truckee on highway 40.
The California highway patrol said the bus crashed into an overturned oil truck owned by the Lang transportation company, and driven by Harold N. Roger. The bus, driven by Francis Eaton of San Francisco, rounded a curve and skidded into the truck a few minutes after the upset had occurred.
Passengers were transferred to a Greyhound coach and taken to Reno. Traffic was tied up more than 30 minutes.
