Donald H. Smith, Sr., 76, of 394 E. Main St., Piqua, died on Thursday, February 10, 2005 at 6:05 am in Upper Valley Medical Center. He was born in Greene County on January 27, 1929 to the late Harry and Pearl K. Hilliard Smith. He married Mary L. Loraine on February 29, 1964 in Troy; and she survives.
Other survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Donald H. and Judith Smith, Jr. of Kissimmee, Fla., Ronald and Tammy Smith of Lockington; two daughters and son-in-law, Charlotte and Billy Partin of Medway, Brenda Lee Smith of Piqua; thirteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and a sister, Wilma L. Phillipe of Troy. He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Smith was self employed. He enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, and operating his own bait business.
A funeral service will be conducted on Monday, February 14, 2005 at 1:30 pm in the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne M. Fowler officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 12:30-1:30 pm in the funeral home.
