William Peter Crumpacker, age 87, of Chesterton, Indiana and Fort Myers, passed away at his Indiana home. The Rev. Frederick A. Niedner Sr. died Oct. 23, 2000, of melanoma at age 81. A funeral was held.
The Rev. Niedner was born Oct. 4, 1919, in Atchison, Kan., and grew up in St. Charles, Mo. He graduated from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, in 1944 and was a Lutheran pastor, serving churches in Wyoming, Nebraska and Oregon. From 1957 to 1978, he was president of the Nebraska district of the church's Missouri Synod, and he retired in 1985 after seven years at St. John Lutheran Church in Salem. He had lived in Beaverton since 1988 and was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Tigard. In 1944, he married Esther M. Harting.
Survivors include his wife; sons, the Rev. Frederick A. Jr., Ronald M., Richard M. and John W.; daughters, Janet R. Going and Joyce L. Greene; brother, Paul; sister, Carolyn Finck; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Interment is in River View Cemetery. Arrangements are by Wilhelm Funeral Home.

Elizabeth P. Light, 53, of Lebanon passed away Thursday, March 5, 2015 at the Harrisburg Hospital. She was the wife of John F. Light.
Elizabeth was born in the Panama Canal Zone, on December 11, 1961, she was a daughter of Duane M. Perkins and the late Dora M. (Brown) Perkins.
She was a member of AA, where she enjoyed service work, attending meetings and sponsoring people. She also enjoyed housekeeping, gardening, walking her dog and listening to audio books.
In addition to her husband and father, she is survived by 1 brother, Craig Frazier; 3 sisters, Diana Nied, Linda Boyd-Jones, and Susan Badger; also 1 nephew, James Patrick Badger and 1 niece, Desiri Walker.
Memorial Service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, March 14th at Calvary Chapel, 740 Willow St., Lebanon, 17046. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Visitation hours will be held on Saturday morning from 9-10 at the church. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to a charity of your choice in memory of Elizabeth.
