Ferreby, Richard E.

FAR HILLS, NJ: Richard E. Ferreby, died Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at Morristown Memorial Hospital. He was 71. Born in Evanston, IL. He lived most of his life in New Jersey moving to Far Hills 42 years ago. Mr. Ferreby worked as the executive V.P. for PMS Consolidated in Somerset, NJ for 18 years before retiring in 1996.

He served in the Air Force ROTC, attaining the rank of Captain. He received is B.S. Degree from Rutgers University in 1995. He was a member of the Pottersville Reformed Church in Pottersville. He was an active Senior Member of the Society of Plastics Engineers, Ex-Director & Treasurer of the Society of Plastics Industry and an active member of the Plastics Pioneers Affiliate.

He was predeceased by his grandson, Christopher Everett Ferreby. Survivors include his wife, Annette (Osterman); 2 sons, Thomas Everett Ferreby of Fairport, NY and his wife, Brenda and Martin Richard Ferreby of Gastonia, NC, 1 brother, David William Ferreby of Fairfax, VA; 4 grandchildren, Michael, David, Jennifer, and Christen Ferreby and one granddaughter-in-law, Amy Ferreby.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 18, 2004 at the Pottersville Reformed Church, Black River Rd., Pottersville, at a time to be announced. Visitation Thursday, June 17, 2004 from 7 - 9 P.M. at Bailey Funeral Home, 176 Main St., Peapack, NJ 07977. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Watchung Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America in his memory would be appreciated. Arrangements by Bailey Funeral Home, Peapack, 908-234-0590.
