SERVICES HELD FOR FORMER RESIDENT

Services were held in Shawnee, Oklahoma recently at the First Baptist Church for Mrs. Charles Marshall (Minnie) Ross, who died of a heart attack on January 25, 1965 in Shawnee at the age of 69.

She was a music teacher and prominent in church and club activities in Shawnee. She was born August 8, 1895 in Springdale, Arkansas, where she married Charles Marshall Ross, former Wagoner resident, there in 1928.

Survivors include her husband, Marshall; one son, Carl Ross of Reseda, California; one sister, Mrs. Lillard (Clara) Bolls, Sr. of Conway, Arkansas; and two grandsons, Douglas and Loyd Ross, both of Peseda, California.

Mrs. Ross was a sister-in-law of Mrs. James Searcy of Coweta, Oklahoma.

Burial was in Shawnee's Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery.



She was buried in January 1965 in Resthaven Memorial Park, Shawnee, Pottawatomie Co., OK, Findagrave #89646418.

Shirley Lee Ross age 71 of Simi Valley passed away Feb. 5 1997 at her residence.

Mrs. Ross was born July 12 1925 in Burbank. She was a beloved wife mother grandmother and special friend. While it is a deep loss to have Shirley taken from us let us thank God who gave her to us for 71 years on this earth and a time none of us will ever forget. Let us vow to remember her and to embrace her as we embrace each other remembering her through our love for each other. In that gesture love outlives grief and gives meaning to our suffering and to Shirley's time with us. Her love will sustain us always. She is dancing with the angels and is waiting for us to join her at some time. Goodbye Mom we love you!

Shirley is survived by her husband Carl Marshall Ross; sons Lloyd Ross of Reseda and Douglas Ross of Thousand Oaks; grandson Jasen Ross of Los Angeles; niece Dixie Whitley of Rancho Santa Margaretta Calif.; and special friend Eugene Kudlinsky of Thousand Oaks.

A memorial service will be held at Reardon Simi Valley Mortuary on Feb. 11 at 2 p.m. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Arrangements are under the direction of Reardon Simi Valley Mortuary.
