Cecil S. Parshall
GLENDALE -- Private services were held for Cecil S. Parshall, 78, a retired Army major whose career included both world wars and Korea.
Mr. Parshall, 4408 E. El Camino Drive, was in charge of the Prisoner of War Camp for Germans at Papago Park in 1944 and served as a provost marshall in Belgium in 1945-46. He died Dec. 7, at his home.
He moved to Glendale in 1962 and was a life member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart, American Legion Post 29, the 32nd degree Masons, and El Zaribah Shrine.
Survivors include his wife, Elyane; children, Ann, James and Douglas; two grandchildren; and two brothers.
Cecil St. Clair Parshall lived on 6 June 1950 in North Platte, Lincoln Co., NE.

Sgt. James Saint-Clair Parshall, 27, of Apartment 6-C, Colonial York Town Apts., E. North St., Greenville, died Monday, December 8, in Okinawa, Japan.
Born in Charleroi, Belgium, he was the son of Col. Cecil S. and Elyane Dotel Parshall of Glendale, Ariz., he entered service in 1965, and was stationed with the Third Force Service Regiment, Fleet Marine Force Pacific in Okinawa and received the following awards, Presidential Unit Citation, Navy Unit Commendation, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Combat Action Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal with 1 star, National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 3 stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal with device and Republic of Vietnam Meritorious Unit Commendation (Gallantry Cross with palm). He was a Protestant.
Surviving also are his wife, Mrs. Polly Ann Clark Parshall; two sons, Casey Holland Parshall and Clark Saint-Clair Parshall of Greenville, a sister, Miss Ann Parshall of Glendale, Ariz; a brother, Douglas S. Parshall of Glendale, Ariz.; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Dotel of Glendale, Ariz.
