Lynch Starr, 49, Dies in Texas
Lynch Starr, 49, a former resident of Adair County died Jan. 17 of a heart attack in Fort Worth, Tex., it has been learned here. Services and burial were held in Lawton Jan. 20.
Starr, born Feb. 26, 1919, in Stilwell, lived in Adair County for many years before entering the Army. He served in the Army, beginning in World War II and continuing through the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
Following his discharge as a staff sergeant in July, 1967, he had worked as an inspector at the American Manufacturing Co. in Fort Worth only a short time before he was fatally stricken.
He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Mrs. Blossom Starr of the home in Fort Worth; two daughters, Mrs. Joan Standifer, Castro Valley, Calif., and Mrs. Johnann Spell, Pueblo, Colo.; four sisters, Hattie Liver, Tulsa, Emma Lena Nakedhead, Stilwell, and Mae Marie Starr and Vera Corrine Wiggins, both of Tulsa; one brother, Charley Joe Starr, Fort Worth; two half-sisters, Mrs. Lorene Sellers and Mrs. Norene Starr, both of Stilwell; and his uncle, Charley Starr, Stilwell, with whom he made his home while he was young.

Mrs. Mary Starr Dies in Hominy
Mrs. Mary Cochran Starr, 94, a former resident of Stilwell, died Friday Jan. 11 in the Hominy City Hospital.
Mrs. Starr, born and reared in Stilwell, was married to Jack Starr in Stilwell. They had made their home in Hominy for several years. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include one daughter, Lula Belle Starr, one grandson, Jack Bunch, and a great-grandson, Joe Bunch, all of the home in Hominy, and a brother, Watt Cochran, Stilwell.
Services were held Monday, Jan. 14 in the Salem Church with the Rev. Key Ketcher officiating. Interment was in the Salem Cemetery under the direction of the Powell Funeral Home, Hominy.
She was buried in January 1974 in Salem Indian Cemetery, Bell, Adair Co., OK, Findagrave #114698742.

Johnnie Starr of Hominy was born April 10, 1913 at Stilwell; died Jan. 1, 1939 at Shawnee after a lingering illness.
He was a graduate of Hominy high school, a member of the First Baptist church of Hominy and a member of the Hominy quartet. He had lived in Hominy for 12 years.
Mr. Starr leaves to mourn his death his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Starr; a sister, Lula Belle Starr, all of Hominy, and a brother Rufus Starr of this place, besides many other relatives and friends of Shawnee, Hominy, and Stilwell.
Burial was in Cochran cemetery Tuesday afternoon.
He was buried in January 1939 in Cochran Cemetery, Stilwell, Adair Co., OK, Findagrave #83588982.

Charley STARR, Jr. was born June 22, 1909 in Stilwell to Charley STARR, Sr. and Maggie JONES STARR. He departed this life June 22, 1999 at the age of 90 years.
He served in the United States Army and was a laborer.
Charley was married to Rachel Mae THIRSTY.
He was a member of the Johnson Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

She was a homemaker and was a member of the Johnson Baptist Church. Rachel was married to Charley STARR. He preceded her in death on June 22, 1999. Although she did not have any children of her own, Rachel had several nieces and nephews that she loved very much and took care of.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; six brothers, Scott, Joe, Ralph, Redwing, William and Adam THIRSTY and one sister, Alice THIRSTY.
Rachel is survived by three sisters, Edna, Rose and Ella Mae; and one step-son Arthur, all of Okla.
