Jane A. Roberts, age 65, of Homewood, a music instructor, composer, photographer and poet, died in her home Tuesday night. She earned degrees in piano performance and music composition at the American Conservatory of Music. She was a member of South Suburban Music Teachers Association. Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Giles and Helen, longterm residents of Homewood; she is survived by three aunts, Phyllis Ivey Morgan of Port Dover, Canada, Genevieve Roberts of Northlake and June Seip of Olympia Fields; and cousins Patti and Jim Seim of Texas and Richard and Lucy Seip of New Mexico and their children, Adrienne and Christopher, other relatives include Stanley Walker and Nancy Cisneros of California; other survivors include close friends Sally DuBois, Danae Thompson, Roy Peloquin, John Bunrasi, Marilyn Tapajna, Pat Foster, Mary Morton, Margaret Espiritu, John and Margaret Mroczinski, Rosemary Jones, Donna Oberhoffer, Cindy Fior and Cherl Sailor. A service in celebration of the life of Jane will be held on Saturday, September 25, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Community Church, lead by Reverend Joseph T. Ledwell.
