CLINTON, Iowa -- Services for Ford V. LePrevost, 78, will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Clinton Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be in Clinton Memorial Park.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today.

He died Tuesday at Samaritan South Hospital, Clinton.

He retired in 1965 as a chemical analyst, after 26 years at DuPont, Clinton.

Mr. LePrevost married Phyllis Judd in 1944 in Clinton.

He was a 1933 graduate of Wartsburg College, Clinton.

He was a member of the Western Star Lodge 100, AF & AM, and a member and a former deacon at the First Presbyterian Church, Clinton.

He was an active tennis player and past president of the former Tennis Association.

Survivors include his wife; daughters, Carol (Mrs. Allen) Schallau, Palos Verdes, Calif., and Barbara (Mrs. Stuart) Russell, Clinton; a son, Paul, Palm Desert, Calif.; and 11 grandchildren.

CLINTON, Iowa -- services for F.H. Leap LePrevost, 72, of Clinton will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Clinton Chapel of Snell-Zornig Funeral Home. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery.

Visitation is 4 to 6 p.m and 7 to 9 p.m. today.

A memorial has been established.

Mr. LePrevost died Sunday at Jane Lamb Hospital.

He retired in 1978 from LePrevost Floor Covering Co., Clinton, formerly the John E. Holm Floor Covering Co. He had been principal at Greenwood, Neb., High School for four years. He served as physical education director at Clinton YMCA and had coached and taught at Clinton High school.

Mr. LePrevost married Emma Holm in 1937 in Clinton.

He graduated from the former Wartburg College, Clinton, and received his master's degree in history in 1936 from University of Iowa, Iowa City. He was a member of Clinton Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. William (Julie Ann) Hall, Piedmont, Okla.; sons, F. H. "Larry" Jr., Clinton; John, Malibu, Calif.; and Dale, Miami; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Ford, Clinton.



He was buried in July 1985 in Springdale Cemetery, Clinton, Clinton Co., IA, Findagrave #163278603.
