Private graveside funeral services and cremation will be 2 p.m. Friday at Merced District Cemetery for Mrs. Lyle Bernice Evans, 67, who died Tuesday of a heart ailment.

Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Kingdom Hall Jehovah Witnesses, Robert Terrones will be officiating.

Mrs. Evans, born Sept. 2, 1910 in Hornitos, was a bookkeeper for Ely and Nix Pipe Company. She was a resident of Merced for 57 years.

She is survived by her husband, Gomer Evans of Merced; mother, Mrs. Lottie Langley of Merced; two step sons, Joe Evans of Klamath Falls, Ore.; three daughters, Mrs. Donna Ferris of San Diego, Mrs. Sue King of Lompoc, and Miss Patricia Evans of Merced; a sister, Mrs. Daisy Egenhoff of Pine Grove; 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions to the California Heart Association would be appreciated by the family.

And although life may lead you where you least expect, you can have faith that it's where you were meant to be.
