Walter Carterette
Walter Frank Carterette, of 1707 NW 32nd st., retired painting contractor who came here 33 years ago from Newport News, Va., died Wednesday. He was 72.
A civilian employe of the shipyards in Newport News during World War I, he moved to Miami in 1922 and entered the painting contracting business.
He retired eight years ago.
He was a native of Wilmington, N.C. Surviving are his wife, Ada; three sons, Archer and Russell, of Miami, and Walter, Jr. of Orlando; and two daughters, Mrs. William Sands, of Oshawa, Canada, and Mrs. Max Trummer, of Queens, N.Y.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Bess Memorial Chapel with burial in Flagler Memorial Park.
He was buried in 1955 in Flagler Memorial Park, Miami, Miami-Dade Co., FL.
