Funeral services for Mrs. Sudie Newman Wynne, widow of Robert John Wynne, who died Monday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. T. M. Curtis, at Lee Hall, will be held this afternoon at 2 at Lebannon (sic) Christian church at Lee Hall. The Rev. A. J. Renforth will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Kenneth Gould.

Active pallbearers will be Wills Wynne, Albert Newman, Coleman Curtis, Chris Curtis, Alex Harwood and Baker West. Honorary pallbearers will be friends of the family, Dr. J. R. Tucker, Dr. M. W. Crafford, Rufus Skillman, Baker West Jr., William Bray, Simon Curtis, W. F. Fowler, Henry Crafford, Prentice Smith, J. M. Knight, John Dunn, Richard Newman, W. F. Houchens, E. W. Harwood, and John Mullen.

Mrs. Wynne was the daughter of the late Frederick Cosby and Ada Fonerden Newman, and was born at Cloverdale in Warwick county, June 14, 1857. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. T. M. Curtis of Lee Hall, Mrs. Claude G. Dennis of West Norfolk, and Mrs. Ada Carteret (sic) of Miami, Fla.; three sons, Hunter W. Wynne and Frederick N. Wynne of Newport News and Robert C. Wynne of Tampton; two sisters, Miss Ada Wynne and Mrs. Charles McDermott of Willoughby; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was buried in January 1941 in Lebanon Church of Christ Cemetery, Newport News, VA, Findagrave #30691060.
