Nina Moses, wife of Edward Moses of South Plum Street, died at the age of 65 years at the Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. She had been in ill health for several months before her death and confined the last five days of her life. Nina was a member of the United Brethren Church and of the D. of A. Council.
Surviving Nina, besides her husband, were six daughters, Mrs. Anna Gunckle (Harry), Mrs. Gladys Kuch (Everett), Mrs. Glenna Huffer (aka Glenna Carles), Mrs. Irene Shaffer (Merle), Mrs. Helen Zech (Everett), and Mrs. June Adams (aka June Bramlett); two sons, James H. Moses and Paul E. Moses.
Her funeral services were held at the residence and at the United Brethren Church with Dr. O. O. Arnold officiating, assisted by Rev. Robert Copeland. Burial at the Germantown Cemetery.

Lenora M. Martindale
Age 88, of West Milton, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2019, at Upper Valley Medical Center. She was born November 11, 1930, in Dayton, Ohio, to her parents Charles & Velma (Hetzler) Lutz. Lenora graduated from Northridge High School class of 1948 and graduated from Edison State with a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education.
On September 2, 1951, she married Kenneth Eugene Martindale in West Milton, and together they shared a life for over 68 years. She worked as a teacher’s assistant at Riverside School for over 30 years. She was a member of the UD New Horizons Band and attended Center Friends Church. She enjoyed watching Milton-Union Football, Ohio State University football and loved to bake and do crafts and school projects for the kids.
Lenora will be missed and remembered by her loving husband Kenneth Martindale; daughter and son-in-law Yvonne “Pinkie” & Greg Kochersperger of West Milton; grandchildren Engrid & Bryan McNeil of Monroe and Liza & Jeff Curee of Union; great grandchildren Charleigh McNeil and Draven Lovell; brother Charles Lutz of Paulding.
She was preceded in death by her parents; children Della Maxine Martindale and Charles Ronald Martindale; sister Shirley Applegate.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday, November 12, at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami Street, West Milton, with interment following at Riverside Cemetery, West Milton.
She was buried in November 2019 in Riverside Cemetery, West Milton, Miami Co., OH, Findagrave #204486098.

West Milton woman, 21, killed in Ontario wreck
WEST MILTON -- Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday for Della Martindale, 21, of 42 W. Hayes St., who was killed Sunday night when she was struck by a car near Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada.
Ontario police said Miss Martindale was riding a motorcycle with Frederick Post, 23, of Mesa, Ariz., when the vehicle stalled. They said that as they tried to get the cycle started they were both hit by a passing car.
Miss Martindale, a 1974 graduate of Milton-Union high school, was dead on arrival at Port Arthur General Hospital. Post was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital in Thunder Bay, where he was in fair condition with a broken leg.
Miss Martindale is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Martindale of West Milton, one brother and one sister.
Services will be at the Hale-Sarver Funeral Home in West Milton.

Head-on collision kills two drivers
Two motorists were killed in a head-on collision on Ohio 571, three miles east of Tipp City, about 9:20 p.m. Wednesday, Miami County sheriff's deputies said. Pronounced dead at the scene were Charles Martindale, 21, of 42 W. Hayes St., West Milton, and Joseph Johnson, 39, of 311 N. Pike St., New Carlisle. Both men were travelling alone.
Both victims were trapped in their vehicles for a lengthy period of time. Ohio 571 was shut down in the area of the Pisgah Road intersection for several hours. Deputies said the eastbound car driven by Martindale went left of center while rounding a curve and collided with the Johnson car. A witness said Martindale did not have his headlights on.
